I have had multiple 5 cup coffeemakers over the past 15 years ...NONE lasted over a year due to breaking a glass carafe or the hotplate stopped working or coffee began to taste different..I have a great French press carafe but its a pain going thru the 15" making

This is sold as a 5 cup coffee maker. If I filled it to 5 cup capacity, I would be able to fill 5 VERY SMALL cups. I have one mug of coffee in the morning but must fill the water container to 2+ cups to fill my mug (which is not particularly large).

excellent value for price...4 cups really makes "2" mugs. it was hard to get used to cone shape scooper to put in right amount of ground coffee; LOVE permanent filter as was hard to find size 2 paper for my old one
