We had the original version of this coffee maker for a long time. It was getting a bit shabby, but we hesitated to replace it because it was just right for us. We finally did replace it with this new version and it's better than the original. We love the transparent water reservoir and the connection between the cofffee basket and the caraffe.

I have used cuisinart coffee machines for many, many years.. my 14 cup coffee maker still works great but the calcium and other water stains were unremovable. I wanted a stainless small brewer and this is one is awesome.
It feels a bit tinny and very light weight. But it makes great coffee, keeps it hot for 30 minutes….just perfect for my 2 plus cups.
I’m washing and drying to prevent the mineral out put of my water. I also only used filtered water to make coffee.

This is a nice, compact coffee maker but the description is deceptive. This makes 5-5oz cups of coffee. Now I ask...who drinks a 5oz cup of coffee?? 8oz, 10oz yes. I am also disappointed that it shuts off after 30 minutes. I have now reduced my coffee drinking to 2-12oz cups.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
