[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Cuisinart coffee maker after the original 4 cup coffee maker was discontinued. It’s actually not bad at all and I am very happy with its operation. It is much like the other one, and I was able to get used to it quickly. Operation is easy. The water tank lid took a bit of getting used to, but after a couple of days, it was easy. I don’t even have to remove the water tank because I use bottled water and just pour in the amount I know that I am going to be using. The lid of the coffee maker will shut properly with practice. When pouring the hot coffee into a mug, sometimes the carafe may leak a few drops of coffee, I have always done this over the sink so it’s no big deal. I am very happy with this little coffee maker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this coffeemaker for use in our motorhome. Wanted a smaller footprint. Disappointed that it didn’t have a preset time brew feature. Also made the “assumption” that the stainless steel carafe was a “thermal” one…WRONG!!…it makes really good coffee, but I wish it had more features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] POSITIVES: * Makes a good cup of coffee. * Uses cone filters (which I believe makes better coffee). * Fairly small footprint. * Easy to see how much water you're filling it with. * Metal carafe cannot be accidentally broken.
NEGATIVES: * I learned the hard way that the upper part of the interior of the carafe has a plastic ridge that is sharp enough to cut skin and draw blood if you hand-wash it. (!) * Even when the filter basket looks like it's set in place; you have to give it a deliberate light push until it snaps into its correct position. I've never seen a filter basket whose positioning is so fussy. It's not difficult to do, but it's not at all obvious. * Lid for water chamber is not attached to the chamber nor the unit, and can be accidentally dropped into the water chamber.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my little 4-cup Cuisinart coffee pot. I didn’t give it five stars because it doesn’t stay on very long. Other than that it makes a nice hot cup of coffee in the morning.

I've had this 5 cup brewer a few days but so far I can definitely tell a difference in the taste of my coffee. It really has a quality taste. It's hot and stays hot on the plate. My previous brewed 4 cups in like 60 seconds which I think is why it lost most of the taste. I do 4 cups and it takes a few minutes. So not long but long enough to let the water absorb into the grounds and absorb flavor. I love the reusable filter. I think that helps with more robust flavor. Is basically a plastic coffeemaker and weighs nothing but it is done right. My only issue is that the lid to the filter holder must be kind of locked into place and is hard to pop up because of that. Otherwise for the money, probably better then some expensive brewers.

Generally a good 5 cup coffee maker. I like the removable tank and the stainless steel carafe. The 30 minute shutoff time is too short - should be an hour (or more)
