With such attention to the details from the old set, to new renovations that only make the set even better. The best part is THE BACK PRINTING ON THE MINIFIGURES!!! A wonderful set that was even more wonderful to build and enjoy!

Radical retro build. Brings me back to my early experiences with Lego. Super sturdy and modern design of a great retro space theme. I really love the piece built robot. Mini-figures are top notch. Fun play features with the modular connection options. Hidden speeders are great for imaginative play. The rover is excellent. I would prefer if it were fully enclosed for space travel but not a major detractor. So glad I have this in my collection. Nice work Lego!

A well done remake for us 80's kids

The Renegade was one of my most beloved sets as a kid in the 1980s (still own it) so when I heard that this was coming I knew I was getting it day 1. The build is not complex but still enjoyable. My 6 year old had fun helping me for part of the build. I really like the redesign outside of the front opposite the pilot ship, it needs to be more sloped. Everything else is nicely done and goes great as a rival to the Galaxy Explorer. I hope they continue to release these vintage reimaginings of the classic themes. I would love to see the classic space and Blacktron bases and rover vehicles in the future.

This set was extremely fun to build and play with! I love how modular the set is and I think it is exceptionally designed! I also love that it can connect with the Blacktron Cruiser GWP from 2023 with a few minor modifications! I hope more Blacktron sets get released in the future!

I really loved this build and the look of the set is just fantastic!
You build the vehicles first and then build up the ship itself slowly through the rest of the bags. Some of the building techniques really surprised me.
If you're a fan of classic Lego space themes, or just looking for the baddest looking spaceship you can find, I highly recommend picking this up.
Really cool play functions as well for such a throwback set.

I’ve been telling my younger children the early 1990’s were an epic time to be a kid with Lego Space sets. Blacktron I and II, Space Police, M-Tron, Exploriens… those were the days. The Renegade was an excellent build. Straightforward enough that my kids could follow the instructions with me, and a wonderful homage to the original. My kids love playing with it alongside the Galaxy Explorer. Just spitballing here, but it would be great to have, I don’t know, the M-Tron Stellar Recon Voyager revisited so as to further relive my childhood glory days and share them with my children.

Best Space Battleship Ever

I grew up with Blacktron ever since I was born in 1987. The Renegade was my favorite space battleship. I purchased & built 2 of the Renegade sets in the year 2025 & the build blew me off my socks. I love this set so much that I can’t see it retire but I really love to see Blacktron keep on selling instead of being discontinued. I’m always a Blacktron fan & I always support the Blacktron Fan Community because I have a lot of love & passion for Blacktron. It would break my heart if Blacktron was discontinued. Discontinuation of Blacktron really hurts me & all of the Blacktron Fan Community.
