This set was extremely fun to build and play with! I love how modular the set is and I think it is exceptionally designed! I also love that it can connect with the Blacktron Cruiser GWP from 2023 with a few minor modifications! I hope more Blacktron sets get released in the future!

Great but just missed Fantastic

I leave my Lego out for my Grandson - Classic Space through to Space Police.
However the 18+ on this build also bleeds into small playability niggles. Everytime the grandson touches something random comes off - EXCEPT the 4 parts that are supposed too. A few things here and there is normal in play, but not this much. IE the old Classic Space bendy tubing always pops off in play, but little else.
He just can't seperate them, and using "clip plates" over "Technic" peg & hole will break with time/misuse.
It's also a shame that it isn't backwards compatible with the Original Blacktron kits - as he does cross match them.
It would have taken a great product to a flawless one. Recommended for mostly display and not much play, sadly.

So I love building Lego, but I’m kinda new to this. I’m building this with my boyfriend and I saw the robot guy and was SOOO excited to build him. And then when I do, there’s words on his face.. like the “Lego” plus the serial number or whatever. I was so disappointed.
But it’s still fun! I just wish the little transparent face on the robot didn’t have letters & numbers all over it. :(
Lego is amazing though :)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Too much yellow

Too much yellow to fit with the old blacktron scheme. Good with printed parts and not stickers. Would be nice if the docking mechanism coincided with previous remake of blacktron the GWP cruiser set for a better play experience. The box art is terrible, it does not match the other classic space sets such as the remake of galaxy explorer. Compared to the love the remake of galaxy explorer got from the design theme, this set was a bit of a let down. Otherwise a solid set with decent value for money.

Great build for my son and I (he’s 8). Plays into my nostalgia and looks cool and unique amongst the modern legos. Fun with all the modular pieces too. Fun for him to have a “bad guy” to counter the space sets from last year.
