I love these “remastered” Lego sets. Like the Galaxy Explorer before it, this one reimagines the vintage set with some new goodies. I only wish it had a storage unit similar to the original one and was more readily compatible with the older Blacktron Cruiser gwp.

As a kid I some Blacktron and Space Police sets. I usually have an issue with the price of these new smaller scale legos. I had to instantly get this because of the Lego group. There is so much going for this set. It's great and do not pass this up. Maybe Blacktron and SP will come back.

Great set! I bought two of them so I could make both the new Renegade and the new Alienator.
This set gave me memories of the 1980’s when I built the original renegade with my favorite Lego faction. This set has much more pieces and has a much more solid feel than the older design. I especially like the “drop ship” function the renegade has when dropping off or pick in up its Land Rover.
I’m hoping for more original Blacktron sets (perhaps a new message intercept base?) in the future. :)

I thought this looked cool but it's even cooler than it looks. The dropping-and-picking-up mechanism for the rover is genius! Haven't had this much fun with a Lego set since the 1990s!

This is a great set. I have a lot of experience with different themes and sets over the years. This is a perfect mix of complicated enough to not be boring, but also very interactive and fun. The price is very fair for what you get. I would strongly recommend it to any LEGO fan.
