I bought this to put together with my son. The instructions were easy to read and the parts were packaged in a logical manner. There were parts of the instructions that had factual information about the project. Fun and educational!
I’m a 45-year-old man and have been playing with LEGO since I was 4. Building this set was a joyful and meaningful experience—it brought back the fun and nostalgia of my childhood LEGO days.
I actually bought this for my husband who worked on a NASA contract for several years. Because we live in Huntsville, AL the shuttle is here at the Space and Rocket Museum and of historical importance to Huntsvillians. Love the set because it's part of our space program history.
The set is a lot of fun to build with mechanics being present from the start! For the pieces to dollar ratio, it’s one of the better values out there. The shuttle and plane are stout, and larger than anticipated. One of my favorite builds!
I love the overall set. I grew up with the Space Shuttle program. The SCA was always an amazing feat of engineering to see. The only downside was the landing gear mechanism. A cool concept, but mine did not work well in execution. The forward and aft landing gear did not work well in tandem. I attempted to adjust it, but the range of movement, and the available space, did not allow them to fully retract or extend both sets. It now sits oddly on its stand.
It was a very engaging build with the separate manuals for the shuttle and 737. It was worth the price I'd say and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good build.
