Purchased this set as well as other wall art sets such as Mona Lisa and Starry Night..couldn't wait to finish the others so I could start the Sunflower set..This was bought as a gift for my significant other who wanted a Lego wall art wall in his house and as I watched him start I started helping and ended up doing it all myself as it was so much fun and satisfying to see the end results...love this

Just wow! The final product looks amazing and would look great decorating a wall in anyone’s home. The build was fun and interesting. Very nice touch to listen to the podcast and learn more about van gogh while building. It’s a great addition to the lego art collection. I would love to see more in this series done as well as this set!

Being a beginner to lego and who had only built the 800 piece roses build I saw this and immediately wanted to give it a try. It wasn't difficult at all and was extremely satisfying to put together. Actually looking forward to try more now!

Structure is not sound

I have two other lego art sets, and I was impressed with the way they were structured. I wish I could say the same with this one. The backing where the panels are placed is not stable or sturdy, and has led to my set breaking several times because the support system cannot handle the weight of the actual “painting”. I know LEGO is capable of making sets that can structurally handle themselves, but for some reason that knowledge was not applied to this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was super excited for this as a huge fan of Van Gogh and the Starry Night set (which got me into Lego as an adult). The build was somewhat fun but my set was missing 2 pieces; they weren’t totally visible so I used some of the extra pieces in it. Still a bit frustrating. Also, the piece quality seems to be lacking; on a ton of bricks the “Lego” wasn’t visible on the peg due to manufacturing process.
As for the build itself, the unique builds designed for the sunflower petals is rather flimsy and isn’t very strong/secure.
Don’t get me wrong, really happy I have this and will proudly display it’s just not as great as the 3 other sets I’ve built (Starry Night, Great Wave and Milky Way). They cannot all be grand slams… nothing wrong with a triple every now and again

I bought this for myself as an early birthday present. I love the Art series because I am a painter. This was a really fun build. Lots of small pieces but it came together beautifully. I loved the fact that I could listen and learn about the painting as I was building. Can't wait to see what paiting you replicate next.
