The first impressive feature is the sure weight and sturdiness of the grill. Has many other features not found in entry level grills like the WiFire connectivity, the EZ clean Grease and Ash keg, a fully digital controller, etc. I especially loved the massive second shelf and the staging hooks to hold it when not using it. Can't wait for the neighbors to smell the smoke rolling from it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had the Woodridge for a few weeks now and it’s everything great you’d expect from Traeger. Love the new controls/display and app and WiFi connectivity is a breeze.
Low and slow, hot ‘n fast, or anything in between - that Traeger woodfired smoky goodness enhances the deliciousness of everything you throw on it.

This is my first pellet grill and it is amazing! Does every thing i wanted and needed! Holds temp great and is just super well made. For a newbie like me it is perfect! If you are more seasoned, get the pro for the super smoke feature, but orherwise, you can’t go wrong with this work horse!

I have owned many grills and smokers. The Traeger Ironwood is by far the best. The largest issue of owning a pellet grill is the maintenance. If you use it a lot and don't clean out the ash box and the grease build up it can create many issues. The design of the Ironwood makes cleaning almost fun. It is by FAR the simplistic cleaning process for any pellet fed. The Traeger also rules king for all the other very important items, temp regulation, waterproof design, superior app connectivity, durability all design, etc. My only complaint would be the probe situation. The wired probes work flawlessly. I don't like that we are restricted to a certain wireless probe that works directly with the Traeger app though. This is not a large issue, they do have a wireless option and I have not used it, but I don't want to be tied to one wireless option. I am sure they have the capability to integrate their app with other wireless probe manufacturers which could resolve this issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had a competitor’s grill for over 5-years but found I was always looking at Traeger, wishing I had one. I bought a Woodridge and I love it. I love the digital display, how I can turn the dial to any temperature I want or need. I love the WiFi connection and how I can control the whole cook and pre-heat process from my phone. I also love the way this grill is constructed. It’s heavy and it’s sturdy. The enameled finish is beautiful and the engineering is like none I’ve seen thus far. This is my grill that I will have till one of us is no longer able to be fixed. I love it.

Deeply disappointed…

I wish zero stars was an options. I am baffled that there are 5-star reviews on this grill. We have been entirely disappointed with it and have tried at least ten times to smoke or cook a meal. Do not waste your money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pellet grills produce a cleaner smoke than charcoal or stick-burners; you’ll taste it most at lower temps, so starting cooks in the 165–225°F range to build smoke and then finishing hotter often gives the best flavor and texture.
