I had a Traeger Pro 757 for 6 years and decided it was time for an upgrade. Unfortunately, I made a slight detour and chose a Recteq Deck Boss 800. Within the first 5 cooks I had three auger jams and two 130 degree over temp events. I returned it and ordered the Woodridge. It has been flawless on several long smokes and provides the performance you expect from Traeger. If you’re a Traeger owner and thinking about switching brands, think again.
It was super easy to set up, right from the box to the first time I cooked. The app was a huge help with putting it together. I made ribs for my first cook, and they were amazing! They had a great smoky flavor, and the temperature stayed perfect when on the grill. Cleaning the grill was a piece of cake too. Seriously, I'd totally recommend it if you're someone who just casually smokes meats.
I bought my husband this Traeger for his birthday. He absolutely loves it and has already used it multiple times. The wheels are great for him to easily move it in and out of the garage, as we don't have a dedicated grill pad for it. He is so happy! Highly recommend.
You want something that won’t reconnect to any Wi-Fi network? Please buy any Traeger product… The second you shut it down, it won’t reconnect to any Wi-Fi network or that you have! And then when you try to reconnect, it will tell you that it doesn’t remember the Wi-Fi network! These products are complete crap. Buy something else. Zero stars if possible.

Hello Caleb, that shouldn’t be happening. Your Traeger shouldn’t drop WiFIRE every time you power it down. The grill does remember your network. When it won’t rejoin after a shutdown, it’s usually the home network getting in the way, things like band‑steering or a mesh moving devices between 2.4 and 5 GHz, or WPA3/PMF security that can block some devices on power‑up. WiFIRE uses 2.4 GHz only, so giving that band its own network name, turning off band‑steering, and setting security to WPA2 or WPA2/WPA3 with PMF set to Optional usually clears the “forgets Wi‑Fi” behavior. Keeping the Traeger app and your grill’s firmware up to date helps, too.
If you want a hand tuning your network for the grill, give us a call at 1‑800‑TRAEGER.
I wish zero stars was an options. I am baffled that there are 5-star reviews on this grill. We have been entirely disappointed with it and have tried at least ten times to smoke or cook a meal. Do not waste your money.

Thanks for the candor. Striking out after ten cooks is frustrating. When a pellet grill under-delivers, it’s usually one of a few things you can fix quickly: pellet quality and dryness (old or damp pellets cause weak heat and thin smoke), airflow/cleanliness (ash in the firepot or blocked intake makes the fire struggle), and temperature strategy. Pellet grills produce a cleaner smoke than charcoal or stick-burners; you’ll taste it most at lower temps, so starting cooks in the 165–225°F range to build smoke and then finishing hotter often gives the best flavor and texture. If you want help getting it dialed in for the results you expected, our team can walk you through a quick check and setup tips at 1-800-TRAEGER. We’ll help you get cooking the way you intended. We love our treger its almost the perfect grill, but it has one major flaw in design. When you empty the hopper and clear the pellets it takes a lot of time and effort to clear the auger. If only it had an override button, on back next to the power button, that engaged the auger when grill was not in "operation" it would be perfect.

Hello Cain, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We truly appreciate your enthusiasm for your Traeger and understand how time-consuming clearing the auger can be after emptying the hopper. The auger design is intended to operate only during active grill cycles for safety reasons, but your suggestion of an override function is a valuable one. Please get in touch with us at 1-800-TRAEGER so our Customer Service team can review your feedback and assist you further.
Only smoker I will ever own. This smoker is easy to assemble, easy to use, and the hands-off feature is incredible. In combination with the Meater Pro probe, I can control the temperature of the grill to meet the needs of my cook time. The hopper's capacity is large enough fulfill a 20-hour cook at 225 without refilling. I can also control the temp of the grill from my phone. So if you set up an iPad to leave at home that is connected to your home WiFi, you can control your grill settings from miles away. My family and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
