Oven heat control stinks

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product, a bit sensitive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am pretty happy with my range. I wish I went with the knobs in the back vs in the front. I tend to lean over the oven to reach my microwave, im short, and I push buttons by accident when I lean. It seems to be very sensitive in that regard. Otherwise, it works really well and I like that SmartThings tells me notifications about what is going on.

Wonderful New Stove

Remodel my kitchen and it looks great with my white cabinets. The number one thing I love the most - the controls are on the front instead on the back. No more reaching over food while I'm cooking.

Step in the right direction, more to go

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are some good things and some things that need improvements but nothing I think that is bad with this oven.
The good: Through the SmartThings App, you can always see the status of the oven. I'm not one of those people but we all hear about the one person that is never sure if they left the oven on or off.
I can set the oven settings for whatever I am going to make from my devices which is, probably, where people are looking up the recipe. I cannot turn it on from the app, and that is a good thing, but I can send my settings to the oven before I leave work and then just press start when I get home.
I get alerts from the oven on my phone. Once the food is in and I set my timer, I do not need to worry about not hearing the oven alarms if I wander off so long as my phone is nearby.
The warming plate in the middle is far more useful than I thought it would be at first.
Needs improvement: The buttons (primarily oven temp) maybe need a larger or more sensitive detection area. I frequently have difficulty finding the spot that triggers the temperature adjustment.
The timing for rapid time adjustment needs to be slowed. If I hold the timer button down it jumps through the ten minute increments far too rapidly. I either have to stop well before the time I ultimately want or overshoot it by a large margin.
Ability to turn the oven and range off (only off) from the app should be added.

Dangerous Fire Hazard - DO NOT BUY

We purchased this range about 2 years ago due to the great price and sleek design.
I do not usually write reviews, especially negative ones, but feel compelled to share our experience with this product so that other customers don't run into what we did.
There have been several times now that we have found the stovetop was on without us using it. The knobs turn on very easily with a bump or somebody walking past without noticing. There is currently a class action lawsuit over this, due to so many customers having this terrifying experience.
This time there was something sitting on top of stovetop that almost caught fire while we were gone. We came home to a house full of smoke and our two dogs trapped inside. Our house is uninhabitable, everything reeks of smoke, especially everything in our baby's nursery located above the kitchen. We both feel awful after inhaling so much smoke, trying to manage the situation and evacuate our dogs.
Samsung is aware of this defect and even have a page on their website about it - https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01203557/ They suggest buying knob covers from a third party or upselling their customers with new knobs for purchase on their site. Rather than recalling a knowingly dangerous item that can light people's homes on fire, and endanger their families.
All to say - DO NOT purchase this range or any like it from samsung. There are many models with this same problem. Shame on Samsung for being aware of this danger and keeping this item on the market.
