Nice Lock, keypad goes bad

Had 2 of these locks for 3 years, very nice lock, but they are not made to be in the weather, the screens go bad within 2 years. I’ve had to replace both of mine, one was covered by warranty..
I would recommend this to a friend!

When it works it’s great but there is times when you can’t access it thru the internet. Getting better with some of the updates but still does it on occasion

Great features, poor connectivity.

I have had my lock for over a year now, so I have had a chance to see if there would be improvements. I like the interface features and the fact that you can simply use your fingerprint to open the door. This works wonderfully for our kids. The scanner was a bit finicky in the beginning, but I am guessing updates have now made it more reliable. My main gripe is when trying to open the lock via the app. Most times the connection times out. Sometimes I can exit the app and then go back in and out will connect, but it is not consistent. This only happens using the "connect from anywhere" option. The Bluetooth works fine. However, I have had to let someone in in the past and the lock chose that time to not work at all, no matter what I did. I know the issue is not my Internet or firewall, as in that same instance and in many more, I have been able to open my deadbolt from another company. If Lockly could fix this connectivity issue, I would consider changing their rating to 5 stars.

Wonderful lock that’s comes with great easy to understand install and use instructions. This lock blew my other branded electronic locks out the water by far in many ways. The aesthetics are amazing. This Lock actually complements my door. The lock pads brightness is great and can get better with a simple quick touch of the key pad. The keypad numbers can be made to scramble to prevent a bystander from recognizing a pattern to remember your lock code. The battery life is surprisingly superior to my other branded locks. The diversity of having the ability to use Bluetooth or WiFi makes the lock functional even when the internet is out. Finally, the actual “old” key is always an option if you need to revert back to the simple hand turn. LOCKLY I’m Locked In. No other brands compare.

Works Well Most of the Time

Bought this about 9 months ago. Has many features which made us attracted to it, such as key, fingerprint, cell phone and coded entry. Also has a 9 volt emergency power possibility if the AAs die while you are out. However as of late the fingerprint option, which we found the most convenient has become rather troublesome, not sure if that's because it's dirty or what, but it has good days and bad days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

WiFi connectivity needs work

I was truly excited to open this lock and get started using it. It's a really sturdy lock. Well built and has all the bells and whistles. My biggest gripe is the WiFi connectivity. I purchased the secure pro, the highest rated model.
1. The WiFi is not built into the lock, so a separate doggle is required. The lock is WiFi enabled. Which basically means all that was done was adding a new chip on the circuit that allows the lock to connect to the doggle. This is a complete waste of time and reminds me of 2010 "smart" TVs. It taken me over 1 hour fiddling with the lock and doggle to get them to pair with each other.
2. The doggle is only 2.4 frequency. Again, really outdated technology. I had the doggle, lock, and my phone all in the same room with my Unifi AP and the signal bar was less that 2 bars. My Samsung S21 comes with WiFi 6, which has much greater range. My phone stays connected to the Wi-Fi even when I'm in the back yard of the house.
Very disappointed I have to say.
3. Why are we still designing products to not use rechargable batteries? I love my Ring products simply because of this alone. It's extremely easy to exchange the batteries. I would rather the WiFi built into the lock using more power with the ability to quickly swap out and charge batteries.
4. This is the only review of a product I've written all year and it's a negative review. Lockly, please add WiFi 6 to the lock itself and remove the doggle. I understand it was cheaper to not have to redesign the circuit board for WiFi 6, but the doggle doesn't work and it makes the set up looks really ugly. For a $300 lock, which had as many features as this does, this really was disappointing to see.
I was hoping to use this lock on a few of my properties. Sadly, until they build WiFi 6 into the lock itself I won't. If you're going to build a lock with all the bells and whistles, then please build a lock with all the bells and whistles. I will be sending this one back.

We have been customers for the past five years. All 5 of our entry doors are now secured with Lockly locks. Their security and convenience of the system is second to none. Their customer service team is prompt and accommodating. Several of our neighbors and friends have also purchased the locks after seeing them on our place.

Installed lockly secure plus dead bolt

Installing was a beeeze. Everything well laid out and marked. I bought it and installed for my girlfriend for a late Christmas present. I liked it so much i am buying one for my place. If lockly could add a camera like Ring, you could capture the world. My only suggestion is change the autolock default to OFF or provide a way to manually disable. We wern't aware it would set and went out to dinner before install was complete. We locked ourself out. Fortunately we had another way in.
