bag that does the job it was hired to do

i bought this a few weeks ago for an outdoor camping trip because i wanted something that could stand up to the elements and protect my carry items. out of the box it had plenty of customizable fit options with adjustable straps on both end with strap management built into the bags so i was able to get everything just right. happy to report on the trip that it withstood rain, cold, 20-25 miles of hiking, and a little bit of dancing as well all while packed to the brim. no malfunctions or issues to speak of although i feel the stabilizer strap could be a bit stronger and more intuitive with better store options. all around though, happy with the bag.

Amazingly deep love in spite of two big flaws

The 7 liter arrived just in time for a two week trip to Spain. I previously reviewed the 2 liter. There are flaws but I am ecstatic about this bag. It feels so perfect and is so adaptable. It has become my daily bag because you can cinch it down so it is very slim, or expand it. And then you can add still more by strapping a jacket or water bottle on the bottom. In the front pocket I have a PD one liter cube with all the small things I need plus keys and ear pods. The main pocket has wallet, passport, a note book, sunglass case, magazine or book plus a light rain parka. The sling is very light weight and comfortable and zippers work well. It could fit my mirrorless camera maybe with an extra lens if I delete most of the other stuff. Even stuffed I didn't have to check it in museums. Amazingly, it just becomes part of your body and I found I could, when slung across front, very comfortably wear my PD every day back pack while still having quick access to necessities. As I noted in my 2 liter review, the magnetic latch pocket for the phone is a joke. If you turn it upside down, the phone immediately falls out--beware! And when we got caught ion the rain, the phone started getting wet. But if you don't turn it upside down it is pretty convenient to pull the phone in and out. The other flaw: I've been reading the reviews about the latch accidentally opening and the bag dropping to the ground, not really believing it. And then it happened to me....twice. Luckily, I'm not carrying a camera. I wonder if PD will take responsibility for this - the way Volkswagen did with my diesel - and send us better straps. In spite of these flaws, I am so totally in to this bag!

Minimalist Travel Companion
on June 7, 2025

I purchased this sling for a two-week trip to Croatia, and it turned out to be the perfect travel companion. I needed something compact and packable that could still fit my Nikon Zf w/ 40mm Prime paired with the Camera Cube V2 XS (which deserves its own glowing review). This sling delivered.
With the Camera Cube tucked inside, I still had room in the front pocket for essentials like keys and coins. The interior organization made it easy to store small items such as a lens cleaner, a travel-sized sunscreen, my wallet, and phone. While it was a snug fit, I developed a great system, tucking the top of the Camera Cube under itself and adjusting the dividers to hold my camera strap and other accessories. I ended up keeping my wallet inside the main compartment for quick access and used the rear pocket for my phone.
If you’re looking to travel light and are willing to put a little thought into your setup, I highly recommend this bag. I only brought one lens, but with a few tweaks to the Camera Cube layout, I could have easily fit a second. A fantastic solution for minimalist travel photography.

I was looking for a sling that wasn’t too bulky, looked nice, and held enough stuff to lighten my pockets. This is it! Love the material, the strap is top rate. Love this little bag!

Brilliant bag for everything.

Bought on a whim and this could be my favourite bag. Slim when it needs to be big when you want to squeeze more in and now bought the cube and fits an a7 with 24-70 perfectly and space for more Bits. The phone slot is superb. The issue with the clasp is resolved with a strap from another company with works perfectly that crosses over from the two ends. Either side of the clasp.

Perfect for exploring

This is a great sling to use in combination with the 45 l backpack when traveling. You leave the backpack in your room and take what you need for exploring. The only thing I wish is that there was room for a water bottle

Good sling/waist pack, but not a great camera bag
on July 5, 2025

As an small every day sling or pocket reliever sling and waist/fanny pack it works out great. If you're looking for it as a camera bag, I'd look elsewhere even if you can fit a camera cube into it. It's relatively packable with the only structure in it being the padded back.
I don't mind the strap since I mostly wear it as a waist/fanny pack, but if you wear it mostly as a sling and will swap between shoulders, it can be annoying since the padding won't align with your shoulder. It's also easy to unbuckle, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the person.

Great Sling, disappointing strap

Very nice Sling with two flaws regarding the Strap. 1st I'd like the closing mechanism to be reversed. I mean that if i undo it with one hand, I'd hold the short part of the strap. 2nd After it got in contact with the hook side of a velcro strap, it started fraying and is now a bit unsightly. Other than those two things im Very happy with the quality and design of this sling, and i hope itll serve me well for quite some time.
