Great machine. Everything easy except a paper jam. However, Brother troubleshooters worked hand in hand to assist me to get the job done.

The print quality for an inkjet is good and speed is not bad. A bit of a problem with faxing multiple page documents as it runs out of memory quickly. For small jobs and as a backup printer, it is a good choice. If you have larger volume, you might want to consider something with more robust memory.

Excellent function verses price

Unit appears to do everything I expected. Only slight negative is paper drawer is quite flinsy. Needs to be handled with great care.
I would definitely recommend this unit. Have not as yet done much using special papers and smaller sizes. Did try 4 X 6 and need to better recognize landscape versus portrait.

Highly Efficient and Fast, its possible to do almost everything you need for a small business owner, its also compact and doesnt take up much space, and wireless is a plus

We really like this printer. It's compact, fast, and has good print quality.
Setup was really easy, and the touchscreen is bright and works well. Ink prices are reasonable, and we love the super-high-capacity cartridges, with individual colors for Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. The document feeder works great, and the scanning speed is a major upgrade over the HP J4680 we had before.
My only gripe is minor, and that is the auxiliary feed for odd sizes like 11x17 is on the back. It's hard to get to when the printer is on a shelf against the wall like we have it.
I would buy this printer all over again, though, and I would recommend it to others.

Does the job

I purchased the printer after my other brand printer finally died. Once the Brother printer was set up, which was straight forward, I was surprised by how noisey the printer was while feeding the paper, and the lack of clarity of the printer while printing out a show ticket (bar code wasn't readable at a concert event). Would I purchase the same printer again over others on the market, especially considering the price? ... NO I would not!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Printer

Both my wife and I purchased the Brother MFCJ4510DW printer. I love the copy feature and the scanning to PDF. We did not hook up the fax as we have a dedicated fax machine that we use less than 2 times a year. I also like the duplex printing. This printer takes up less room than other all in one printers saving space. All in all a great printer and a real value.
I would recommend this to a friend!
