Worst printer I have ever had

If I could give 0 stars, I would do it. I have had printer jams constantly. I have had only 3 jams since I got it but it says I have a jam. It says that now but there is no jam. The way to fix the jams is ridiculous The fix for the jam most times takes over an hour to get it to work. I go to print and the printer says Offline. I went to customer service and I finally found out how to reset it. Then it went offline just about every day. I went to Brother to see if It could fix it so it wouldn't have to be reset constantly. After a 2nd customer service, all the tries for fixes, none of them worked. I still have to reset. I'll never buy another Brother.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The first time I used the printer. I had to take it to the be repaired. a month after I got it back I began having problems printing again. very disappointed.

I would have given a "5" but it had to have the motherboard replaced. It is a great printer and printing on both sides is an excellent feature. Yup bought the right one this time.

Minimum Printer

This is my second printer of a similar model. The first printer stopped printing because there is an error message "print tray not detected" after only a year or so after purchase. I had to end up using it for it's scanning capability on my lap-top. I added the new one to the desktop. For the price and capability I'll give it a 6 on a 9 scale. For durability it gets a 3 at most.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Purchase

I have been using an MFC-J6920DW for several years with great satisfaction. When the old HP printed gave up the ghost, I replaced it with the MFC-J4510DW.
I made the new printer selection based on experience with the J6920 and now the ink replacement is the same for both machines.
Highly recommend this device.
