Overall, I'm satisfied with my Brother all-in-one printer.
My one detraction is the noise made when the printer is loading paper from the bottom tray, it's a little loud, and until I knew what it was, unnerving.

I have bought HP printers in the past and got frustrated with their service. So I went to Brother for this purchase. I love my printer, and the customer service when I called to say that for some reason it kept giving me an error code, they immediately asked me for information and sent me a new refurbished printer that works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I couldn't never get it to work with my iMAC desktop or my MacBook computer is their a disk for the these type of computer

I purchased this printer to save on ink. My old printer work good but used a lot of ink. I printed up some color documents and the color was dull not as sharp as my old printer. I even set the settings to the best setting for color and couldn't tell the difference. I guess that's why the ink cartridges last longer. Outside of that the printer is being used wireless and works great. It was easy to setup.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall content with printer but ...

I wanted to get an all-in-one printer with small footprint, duplex printing, individual ink patrons, speed, and network capabilities. I took basics, such print quality for granted these days.
I got what I wanted. The MFC-J4510DW delivers all the extras I wanted yet I am somewhat dissatisfied because my HP6940 delivers so much superior print quality and is incomparably more quiet ... the grinding and coughing and choking the MFC-J4510DW makes when picking up the paper reminds me to printers 20 years ago. I understand that landscape printing in such a compact equipment comes with minuses but still ...
The MFC-J4510DW is an okay for a home office work printer, it was easy to install, and overall I am content but would not recommend this printer for quality printouts and to places where quiet operation is a must.

Does what I was looking for

Purchased this printer because I work from home and I needed to print 11x17 inch drawings. This was by far the most compact and most economical printer I could find in the store that promised to do what I needed. After I got it home and installed it (relatively painlessly) I was pleasantly surprised that it performed exactly as promised, and it fits nicely on my desk top. About the only downside is that I have to manually feed only one 11x17 sheet of paper at a time, while there is a bulk feed tray for 8.5x11 inch paper.

A really good printer

I've only had the machine for a week or so, but one thing I like about it is it's compact footprint. The "sideways" loading of single sheets as well as the sideways discharge of paper is interesting...and nice. The touchscreen and WiFi is a great feature, but I wish it had Bluetooth like my other Brother printer so I could print directly from my iPhone. All in all, it's a really nice little printer for the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!
