Very noisy printer. I do like the size of it. Fits nicely on a desk.

Excellent Printer

This the the best printer I have purchased in a long time. I have had many brother products and always satisfied with all of them. This all in one is the best. Compatible with my PC, IPAD, and my phone. The wireless product was a great buy.

NICE unit but!

Over all I am be well pleased with this unit. It seems to do a really nice job of printing, and is the first so called Wifi printer that sets up as easily as I want right out of the box.
The individual color cartridges should help on consumable costs.
I will say however this printer at start up sure is noisy. And I do wish I had spent the extra bucks for the double tray option unit. The manual feed only allows for one sheet at a time loading, thus defeating the Wifi convenience.

Bang for you buck

I like my new printer and the options and features. Was not able to enlarge on the last printer or have auto feed. Both features are on my new printer and are important to me. Easier to scan into computer also. Had a devil of a time with old printer and most of the time couldn't get it to work.

Almost a great printer

I've been using the Brother MFC-J4510DW for six months and I'm pleased with its performance, although it does have a few short comings. It has the fastest print speed of any home or small business printer I've ever used. The print quality is very good in both color and black and white. It's also the fastest home or small business scanner I've ever used and the scan quality is above average.
The most noticeable short coming of this printer is that it is extremely loud when printing. If you work in a quiet environment, it is distracting. This printer does not receive VoIP faxes very well, in fact, I have never been able to receive more than one page of a fax sent to this machine, even when using the manufacturer's recommended fax settings. I have to use another program to receive my faxes then I can print them from the Brother. Another minor short coming is that when you scan a document over 25 pages, the memory gets full and scanning slows down to a crawl.
Overall it's a pretty good all-in-one for a home or small business, but it would be a great all-in-one if the engineers can solve the noise, the VoIP fax receiving and the scanner memory issues.

Brother 4510 review

I purchased this printer for low ink cost and because a previous Brother printer was one of my best over the years. The MFC 4510 exceeds my expectations. Photos are beautiful.. text as well. And the included initial cartridges just don't seem to go down. Yea! I certainly would recommend this printer to anyone.

Not so good

I am very disappointed. The ink jet cartridges don't fit in right half the time and then cause other cartridges to have to be replaced even when they are not empty.
Also the photos are streaked and washed out.
General black and white printing is okay but for the price I am disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
