Bought on kickstarter after long time waiting for charging base, and it didn’t deserve me. Works seamless, holds easy, without calculating insert angles, just approach the mobile, feel the click and done.

Easy setup, easy to use

I have both the original non charging motorcycle mount and the just released charging version. Both are excellent and are the most minimal solution I've found. Competitors require a separate vibration damper which adds a lot of stack height and don't lock in as easily as the slim link system does. I've done several cross country trips and ADV rides and the mount has never let me down, even with a few minor crashes in the desert. Best system out there, by a lot.

Optional cable lengths needed

I waited a long time for Peak Design’s wireless motorcycle charging head to come to market and replace my wireless Quad Lock setup. After participating in the Kickstarter campaign, the product was finally delivered yesterday. First impressions: I love the simplicity of the design (particularly the vibration isolator) and the ease with which my phone attaches and detaches from the wireless charging head. My only criticism is the lack of choices for length of the USB cable. Measured at 42 inches, the “1-meter” cable that’s included is WAY too long for my needs. Unfortunately, because of the proprietary waterproof connector, I'm limited to this single option (whereas QL's wireless charging head ships with three cable lengths, including a 20” cable that fits my setup perfectly). Inasmuch as my BMW’s factory USB charging socket is located right below the TFT display, and considering the additional 5-inch pigtail already attached to the Peak Design charging head, a shorter USB cable (around 15”) would be a fantastic option. It would be great if there were more choices for the cable length to better suit different users’ needs. For now, I’m stuck with more than 2 feet of extra cable, which detracts from the minimalist design.

Works great quality of construction is excellent you can feel very confident that it will keep your phone in place. Only down side is that with a larger phone Samsung 24 ultra it can be a little tricky to get it disconnected from the holder at first but after you get the hang of it no issue. This wouldn't prevent me from buying again in the future.

Got the charging motorcycle bar mount a week ago. Install was simple especially if you have an extra usb near the front of your bike. Make sure to order the right cable to fit usb port. Total quality from Peak Design but you already know that if you purchase products from them. Went on one ride so far and it worked perfectly. Only once did I attach the phone without checking that it “Clicked in”. the magnet will hold it until you hit a bump. Phone went into on coming traffic and was ran over by at least three cars by the time i got to it. The everyday case protected it and the only damage was the screen saver. Clicked the phone in and finished the ride with out issue. Quality products can’t fix operator error.
