I purchased this along with the Nomad case for my 15 Pro Max after seeing it highlighted in a youtube video. I was looking for something to replace the Scoshe magnet mount that I have used for years. I was a little worried that this wouldn't hold up to light off roading, but was immediately impressed at just how strongly this held my phone with the Nomad case on it. It looks great, works perfectly, and was simple to install.
If I could make one suggestion for a future version if it though, I would somehow give it the ability to rotate "arm" and lock it into any position. Or even maybe be able to swap the arm out for other arms of different lengths/angles. To me that would greatly increase the mounting options. For my 2018 Tacoma the only logical place to mount this was just to the left of the hazard light, and thankfully it worked perfectly there the way it is.

Waste of money. Doesn't fit every car. The short arm is absolutely not practical. I cloud't fit it on my Ford ranger dashboard.

Fails at intended purpose

I bought this 6 months ago and really wanted to like it. It’s a sleek minimal design that mounts firmly and looks good. However, it doesn’t function as well as a much cheaper/uglier gas-station alternative. When using the mount with a modern iPhone and a very thin silicone case, the magnetic hold is super weak. The smallest speed bump or a slightly quick turn will send your phone bouncing under your feet… To be fair the hold direct to the phone is strong, but then you have the hassle of taking off your phone case when you get in the car. The wireless charging, with or without a phone case, is completely inadequate to charge the phone. It charges on and off and will not output enough power into the phone to maintain battery life when navigating. I’m sorry, this mount is expensive and useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not the first PD Kickstarter I've funded and not the last. Y'all kick a** every. Single. Time. The car mount is no exception. it's very slim and unassuming. The magnet is pretty powerful and you get a precise and satisfying "thunk" Everytime you put your phone on it. If y'all ever do a version 2.0 of it, making the ends of the mounting tabs a little bit more flexible to conform to any surface would be really awesome!

Flexible mounting pad

Just received my car mount and I love it! This is SOLID gear. My car has no flat surfaces except for a glass screen so was initially concerned that I'd have to mount it there, but the base flexes and it was easy to place it on a pebbled, rounded part of the dash. Feels like it isn't going anywhere! Thanks, again, for a great product!

I bought this from the Kickstarter and just received it a couple weeks ago. Have been using it with my iPhone 11 Pro Max with the universal mount. One big pro compared to the vent mounted ones I’d that I can mount it low enough that my 1 foot cable reaches my phone. That way I can use CarPlay and have my phone on a stand.
