Amazingly well made and well thought out mount!

I bought two of these charging car mounts. One is installed in my Accord and the other will go in my Odyssey soon.
Installing method and stability: this adhesive method seems like it will work well and will last for a long time. It was a quick install. Also, this will not go anywhere for a long time to come.
Phone holding capability: this magnetic charging mounts holds the phone securely. With or without the Everyday Case, the mounting is secure. It allows for the phone to be held either in portrait or landscape mode. The angle adjustment on the mount is very well made and easy to use with just one hand.
One con that I have experienced so far: since the neck of this mount is short, the phone does not mount up high. This results in the need to install the mount very close to the dashboard edge. Depending on the angle of the dashboard, this may result in not an ideal phone viewing angle. You can see this in the attached pictures. I use an iPhone 13 Pro Max. This is a large phone and needs quite a bit of clearance from the dashboard. This could be improved upon with a slightly longer neck!

Excellent Car Mount

I'm very impressed with this mount. I installed it in my BMW 3 series in a discrete location close to the shifter and it works perfectly. It is beautifully constructed, holds my phone securely and charges it as I go.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Need more flexible mounting options

First of all, the good - the quality is awesome like all Peak Design products.
Now the bad - or rather, what could be improved. The mount is way too short and paired with adhesive really limits mounting options. Cars with textured/leather dashboard can't be mounted and the mount is too short to mount on the windshield as well.
I also wish the charging plate can be unscrewed vs. permanently fixed - as if one can remove the charging plate, can mount via go-pro style attachments as well.

Sorry for the frustration here! When designing our Car Mount, we aimed to maximize compatibility across different car makes and models, and different types of dash layouts and surfaces. The result is a mount that fits in a huge variety of different vehicles, but inevitably it may not be optimal for some. If you haven't already, please have a look thorough the article referenced below as it walks you though the various surfaces and locations you that can be considered. However, in some cases, you may be limited to mounting locations that are less than ideal, and in rare cases you might not find any viable mounting locations at all for the Car Mount product.
If you find yourself in that latter situation, we do now make a 1" Ball Adapter that has a super wide range of uses, and allows us to confidently say that the Peak Design Mobile Ecosystem now works with all sorts of additional vehicles as it is compatible with the wide variety of 1" ball adapter systems on the market!

Car mount issue solved!

I love the Peak design Mobile ecosystem. I have the wireless car mount to use for my iPhone 12 with everyday loop case. I wasn’t able to securely fit the car mount to my Pug (Peugeot 308) because the provided 3M VHB double sided tape wouldn’t hold on the textured finish of the dash on this car. Peak Design warned of this as an issue in their instructions and said to return the mount if it didn’t suit your car. I was adamant I was going to get this to work. I found a solution by purchasing a ProClip Dash mount specifically designed for the PUG 308. It is designed to secularly anchor in the joins in the dash seams in a non destructive and reversible way. Proclip make mounts to custom fit a huge variety of car models. They work very well and because the dash mount surface is flat plastic the Peak Design car mount will attach securely with their provided 3M tape (I did use a second layer of double sided tape to help flatten the face of the contoured car mount). Anyhow, issue solved and a perfect solution and position for my car. I love how easy and securely the Park Design car mount works with their case.

Needs more surface mount options

The car mount, well built, excellent finish, and the phone case mount is great. My need is more options on the mount foot and how it adheres to my 2018 Silverado truck dash. Not a lot of flat surfaces on that dash. Peak should consider a tripod dash mount of some design. Three points of contact.

Great design that falls a tad short

This mount is really nice, unfortunately the arm that rises from the mount itself is just a bit too short to accommodate many vehicles I suspect. Additionally the built-in curvature though pliable would be better if it was slightly flatter in design, because the ends do not secure well, and can pop up and separate from the surface effecting the security and attachment of the mount

Great mount but comes up “short”

I bought the universal phone adapter for my new phone and this magnet holds it extremely secure. It handles bumpy roads like a champ and I’m never concerned that my phones going to dismount. But the mount itself is just WAY too short. I drive a Honda Civic which really only has room on the top of the dash for car mounts, but due to the short design my phone ends up blocking an entire vent. If a taller/larger mount existed but with the same magnetic hold this is an easy 5 stars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The perfect car mount finally exists! This mount is super stable and convenient. The magnetic connection holds my iPhone 13 Pro Max no problem. Wireless charging eliminates hassle and clutter. Well done Peak Design!
