Minimal but strong!

Have been using it for a couple weeks now and it’s definitely amazing. The magnet is so strong, and like everything Peak Design does, it has a simplistic ingenious design.

What a grip!

Purchased this car mount to go with my Peak phone case. Great build quality. Stupid-strong magnet wouldn't drop the phone when going over the worst pot holes Houston has to offer. The USB-C and fast charging are a huge step up from the 2W USB outlets normally offered.

Compact solution, strong hold, but charger failed

This is one of the best solution for a mount that will charge using mag-safe, the hold is very strong compared to other chargers and works great with the original apple magsafe case or the PD slim case. The arm could be a little longer, I can see this as being an issue with some cars. One issue however is the 12V DC charger quality seems to be very cheap, and has already failed, it's charging only intermittently. I had to replace the charger and I will try to submit a warranty claim for it. PD should consider the quality of the charger as well in this design.

Finally a Car Mount that works and looks great

I've been using this now just over 3 weeks and love my car mount. I've been on the search for a mount that looks good, is mag safe, and wireless charging... Peak Design got it right with this mount

I have the non-charging mount. Works amazing well with the PD case. Love that its low-profile and out of the way. Easy on easy off. My only complaint would be the base design. Doesn't work well with all cars due to the curve. Had it for only a few months but so far so good!

Fantastic mount! But only w/ particular dashboards

Like other reviewers mentioned, this PD car mount is very particular in terms of finding an appropriate home on your dash. Due to my car's (2020 RAV4) interior with a giant screen and protruding surfaces, I only had one place to adhere this mount. See photos attached.
I did not attach it on the dash itself because from prior experience (with other mounts) my phone will overheat during Spring/Summer - as sunlight hits my phone directly. Therefore, I placed this mount just below the left side A/C on the pleather surface. PD doesn't recommend to stick on textured surfaces, but there was no other option. I've been using this mount for about a month now (with the PD Universal Adapter), and so far it's been great! The only other minor gripe is that my iPhone cable has to hang across my steering wheel to reach my phone.
All in all, I love the one-handed attachment/detachment. So easy! For reference, I have the non-charging car mount. Due to its limited "compatibility" with dashboards, I do feel that the price point is a little high as well.
I would simply recommend to check your dash area to ensure that this mount is placed in a comfortable position for you as the driver.

Awesome mount

I really like this mount, I use it daily and I am always so happy with it. One possible tweak that I might like is a way to have the same way to securely mount the phone like on the bike mount. My other quibble is the price, it seems a bit high.

I love this mount. It just didn't work for my car. The bases actually fairly big which probably gives it the strength it needs, but a smaller base would make it more versatile when mounting on the dash areas.
I would recommend this to a friend!
