Great car mount, poor glue

Had this mount in my car for 6 months, very happy with it. Unfortunately, when summer came with the first hot days the double sided glue strip came loose. As did the second strip that came with the holder. Pity, with an otherwise great product - the best car mount I have had so far.

I bought the car mount with the grill hooks and no charging.
I regret not getting the charging, but even so, this has been an excellent experience.
I can easily snap my phone to the car mount and pull it off without the car mount just falling off or wobbling or breaking - all of which has happened to me with other mounts. And, you can adjust it to whatever angle and it just stays there.
I think you probably need to use the peak design case for an excellent hold though. (I'm using Pixel 6 Pro). Performance might be a bit poor without it - the cases have extra magnets in them. Conceivably some other magsafe case might also do the trick, but I wouldn't try to do it with a naked phone - it's too slippery and magnets are weaker. I've used this on rough dirt roads (with the case) and had zero slippage.

Will Buy a Another!

This magnetic car mount is excellent. It works with or without a Peak Design Case. So other people who use my car can attach their iPhones securely with ease. It's so convenient I plan to get another for my minivan. PS: It includes an extra adhesive pad for future reattachment to another vehicle.
