Bought this 2 months ago. Had to come back because just how awesome it is. Often gets comments from passengers saying how solid it is. Great work, peak design.

Strong enough for the back roads

As an avid Overlander, I tend to drive on dirt roads and rocky climbs. My former magnetic car holder would always drop my phone and I had no charging included. This works great with the Pete design iPhone case.

Car mounts with slim link phone case

I have purchased both the Slimlink phone case for a Samsung S21+ Ultra along with (2) universal mounts (golf cart and bicycle), (4) car mounts [2 charging and 2 non-charging] as we have 4 cars. I have tried many mounts and these are by far and away the best. The locking phone on the universal mounts is very secure. The magnetic mounts for the car are also very secure and with the cable organizing clips it makes for a very neat and tidy installation. Congrats to the designers.

I bought this about a month ago and installed it at the beginning of summer. It has a strong connection with my phone and keeps it tight no matter what terrain I encounter. I gave it 4 stars, because due to it's black color and metal base, it can get really hot through and I've had my phone give me "High Temp" warnings a few times. Only an issue on hot sunny days, but something to think about.

Great device, beautful and slick but...

I brought it with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra case, it's a perfect fit. It works great, there's no interference with the compass. Sadly, the system called "MagSafe" (apple MagSafe) actually does not work really with my wife's iPhone 14 Pro Max with a small silicone case: The magnets were not strong enough to hold the phone.
I think the magnets are both on the case and the mount, which creates a very stong bond! and it does not budge as advertised.
Nonetheless, the mount is slick and really good (charging or not). I had another issue: finding the right spot for my car. Sadly I did not find a spot to put the base in a perfect maner" in my IONIQ5. So I used two things:
1. Brodit adapter (that you could potentially 3D print)
2. 2 3D printed pieces, 1 to adapt to the form of the base into a flat surface. 2 an adapter flat and the final car surface.
It resulted into a magnetic base for the "driver magnetic display" and a base for the passenger side.
It works really well. Kuddos to the teams!
I think a next iteration would be to have a changeable base so that we can chose from different base, a flat surface base, the same that is here by default, a magnetic mount, a direct ball mount, etc.
PS.: when detaching the first time, I think I went with too much force, and the base is made in a very strong platic that is a little bit bended for me (white marks of bendend black plastic)
