Best car mount ever

I have been using this in my suv and found the design to be more than practical. My phone stays in place on pothole filled roads and it creates a stabile platform to view navigation maps while driving.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Decent mount, limited mounting, missing specs

The mount is decent, it looks clean, but thats if you can find a suitable place to mount it. As others have mentioned, it leaves a lot to be desired in flexibility. That being said, if you can find a spot, its great.
On top of that, they don't mention specs. The mount uses 12v usb c input, but doesn't specify if any 12v profile will work, like qc 3.0 or power delivery etc.
A lot of car chargers don't support 12v in either case, and if they do it may not be the right protocol. Yes, this comes with a car charger, but if you have other devices you want to plug in and want to use a multiport adapter, you might not be getting the right input power to run it correctly since they don't provide the specs.
They also seem to neglect to mention how much power they give to iphones, even though the charger can go up to 15 watts. since its not an official magsafe accessory as far as I know, this should be limited to 7.5 watts and not the full 15 of magsafe

Solid, secure, easy

I was a kickstarter backer for the mobile line of products and so happy I did. The case and car mount combo are what every person needs! The mount is solid and easy to attach to your dash. The charging feature makes dealing with cords in the car a thing of the past. The magnetic mount firmly, securely holds your phone without the blind sensing movements of other mounts. The magnetics quickly find each other and attach with a satisfying sound. The case is super slim, low/no weight with a great fabric feel. It offers just enough grip and slip so it’s secure to hold and easy to slip in a pocket.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hard to find a place to fit the car mount

I tried to mount the "car mount" in the middle of my vw t6 van. I was not able to find a place where i can stick the product and move the phone in a possition where i be able to read the screen. In my case it would be helpful to have another ball joint or something like this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sorry for the frustration here! When designing our Car Mount, we aimed to maximize compatibility across different car makes and models, and different types of dash layouts and surfaces. The result is a mount that fits in a huge variety of different vehicles, but inevitably it may not be optimal for some. If you haven't already, please have a look thorough the article referenced below as it walks you though the various surfaces and locations you that can be considered. However, in some cases, you may be limited to mounting locations that are less than ideal, and in rare cases you might not find any viable mounting locations at all for the Car Mount product.
If you find yourself in that latter situation, we do now make a 1" Ball Adapter that has a super wide range of uses, and allows us to confidently say that the Peak Design Mobile Ecosystem now works with all sorts of additional vehicles as it is compatible with the wide variety of 1" ball adapter systems on the market!

Lovely, when Compatible

I love this, and it worked perfectly with my Mazda 3 dashboard. Changed vehicles recently to a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I can't get the adhesive to work with the dash material worth a darn, it's a serious bummer! I've tried a few different VHB similars and no formula seems to stick. Be aware you might have to get creative! Otherwise, an absolutely stellar product.

Not much to add. Excellent build quality, works like a charm.
At first I thought PD products to be pretty expensive but now I know why, iut's absolutely worth it.

It doesn’t fit my car

I tried to use this in my Mazda CX5 and there isn’t a place to put it. The dash is slightly curved and either leather or a simulated leather that is not smooth. I sent it back.
