For us, this car mount sets the new standard. You do need the PD phone case for it to work best, but it’s a perfect pairing. Easily adjustable but super sturdy. I’ve never had it drop my phone.

I purchased this a little over a month ago and instalation was easy and the next day the car mount was ready to use. This is a strongest connection for a car mount than I have had.

I spend a lot of time driving in dirt roads and sometimes car camping. this mount hasn't falling off once, keeps the phone in place.

Wanted a system to hold my phone between my car and two motorcycles, and Peak Design has the best of all worlds! The magnet is strong and phone doesn't move.

Overall a great product but there's some issues

I've been using this mount since December and it has been great for the most part. The build quality is great and my phone is secure with the strong magnets. Where I live the streets are filled with potholes and I haven't had any issues. The sticker for mounting to your car is also very strong and isn't going anywhere.
My issue isn't really Peak designs problem but just the way wireless charging is and my phone which is a Pixel 7 Pro. Wireless charging is somewhat inefficent and generates heat while my Pixel 7 is prone to generating a decent amount of heat with just day to day use. I also use wireless Android Auto in my car. So my phone running that and also wireless charging I have noticed that it throttles the charging in a way that A) just maintains the battery level I had when I put my phone on the charger. B) Charging cuts in and out. or C) Charges at a snails pace.
To remedy this now that it's getting warmer out and I have my cars AC running I point the passenger AC vent down towards my phone. This lets me get the full charging speed and it charges pretty fast. Although when I have someone in the front seat with my they're going to want the AC pointed at them and I noticed even though the mount is out of direct sunlight my phone feels uncomfortably hot. I'm only discovering this now that it's getting warmer out. In December-March I didn't have this issue as much.
Overall, I'm still happy with my purchase and maybe my next phone will have better heat management.

Money well spent

A photographer recommended the entire system for car, phone care and tripod mount. It was a bit pricey for all and I was a bit leary…. However when it arrived I could not wait to open and begin to use. Car adapter-follow complete instructions. Love this beyond anything else I have found. It’s strong & sturdy, infact my husband now “wants the wallet phone case so he can use the car mount”. . Next: the creative content mount for my tripod … unbelievable. Spend the money and get the Creative Pack. My phone does not move at all vertical or horizontal. Magnet is amazing with the extra button to release! Third item is the charger for the phone case-everyone in my family wants to use, guess they will all need a case! Beyond excited about my purchases! Well done Peak Dedign-customer for life!
