Does the trick

Mount works exactly as required. You'll need the dashboard space to mount it but the ball joint allows for any angle you need.
Combines well with the PD magnetic cases or iPhones with magsafe. The charging isn't particularly fast but will keep your device alive when used for navigation.

Solid, but charges slowly

The magnetic mount hooks the phone securely, but the wireless charger built in is very slow. While using Google Maps for navigation and charging, the battery percentage still goes down slowly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome and durable

I bought the charging car mount not too long ago and was super happy with the setup. They give you cable holders for routing the cable to the mount from the charging port in your car so that everything stays organized. My car's dashboard is a little weird and didn't have the best flat area for the mount to go but the adhesive stuck well anyway, just make sure you really want it where you're sticking it to cuz there's no going back lol.
So far, I'm super content with this purchase. Sometimes you have to move your phone a bit for it to start charging, but even on the bumpiest of roads, the phone held up and didn't fall off.

Great mount

I bought this as part of the kickstarter campaign and it has been a wonderful addition to my car. It holds the phone so securely but it’s so easy to remove the phone when I get out of the car. It also decluttered my windshield since I mounted it to the dashboard so my phone isn’t blocking my view now.

Too short, arms needs to be longer

The arm on this mount is too short, resulting in my phone having to be positioned at an awkward angle. I have other Peak Design products and they are well-designed so I was surprised by the poor choice on the arm. It severely limits what cars this will work in. If they made one with a longer arm, I would buy it

When designing our Car Mount, we aimed to maximize compatibility across different car makes and models, and different types of dash layouts and surfaces. The result is a mount that fits in a huge variety of different vehicles, but inevitably it may not be optimal for some. The article on our website walks you though the various surfaces and locations you can consider. In some cases, you may be limited to mounting locations that are less than ideal, and in rare cases you might not find any viable mounting locations at all for the Car Mount product.
If you are finding yourself in that situation, we also make a 1" Ball Adapter that has a super wide range of uses and can be adapted to have a longer arm if that is what you are in need of!
