So solid

What I love about this car mount the most? It's rock solid and my phone feels like it's glued to the mount. The security of the connection is ideal for landscape orientation turn by turn directions. This is easily the highest quality mount and charger I've ever purchased. Highly recommended.

Got this as my iPhone would never fit properly on any mount. This mount has really good 3M adhesive and it is very sturdy.

Good charger, but keep it out of the sun

Update to a review I'd left previously. The charging car mount is a solid piece of equipment -- it feels sturdy and well-built, and I have no concerns about it falling from where it's mounted thanks to the adhesive strip. The 12V charger provides enough power to give my iPhone 12 mini a respectable charge, even when streaming music and navigating with GPS. However, I strongly recommend against mounting it on the dashboard if you live somewhere hot and sunny -- owing to its dark color and metal exterior, this thing gets mighty hot, and your phone will too if it's exposed. Definitely find a spot on the center console, preferably where it can get some air, if that's the case. Once I did that, the mount worked beautifully. No more fiddling with cables or having an air vent blocked by a mount -- this thing does the job.

I like that it can hold the iPhone 13 Pro max but could use a longer stem. The size of the phone limits where you can mount on the car dash.

I have been wanting a car mount for a while because I don't have CarPlay and use my phone for navigation. My hesitation has always been how bulky and ugly they generally are, but not so of this PD mount. With its small footprint and clean lines, it blends right into the dash (of a 2015 Passat). Keeps me from looking down to the shifter where my phone used to sit, so I'd say it's safer, too!

Fantastic Low Profile Mount & Charger

I've had this mount and charger for around a week a now, and I'm so far very happy! The mount is a well-made, and surprisingly small unit that performs superbly so far!
My 2014 Ford Edge has a textured dash, so I made sure to follow Peak Design's mounting instructions exactly. The small size of the mount makes finding a good spot for it easier than some of the other brands out there. I was surprised how much of a film the alcohol pad removed from the dash. When pressing the mount onto the surface I held it for around two minutes, and then made sure my dash stayed shaded so the summer heat wouldn't compromise the curing of the adhesive. After waiting the required 24 hours I plugged in the power cord and went to attach my Samsung Galaxy phone (in the Peak Design Mobile Case), and, BAM, magnetics clamped on better than any other mount I have had and the power started to flow.
After driving around for a week I have zero concerns about the stability of the mount on the dash, and am quite enthusiastic about how well my phone sticks to the mount.
I heartily recommend this product!
