Too Minimalist?

The car mount seems to be very well made and I appreciate it's minimalist design, however the limited reach of the arm, from the base can make mounting a challenge. Obviously this will vary from car to car, but I was unable to find a location that didn't require the phone to be tilted away from me more than I would prefer. Makin the arm from the base just slightly longer would probably give much more flexibility in many cases.

sturdy and stable

I love this car mount; I have it attached to the dash of my Ford CMax and it is very sturdy and stable. There is no play or wiggle, which makes other mounts feel less secure. I love the one-hand operation, which is possible because the power cable plugs into the mount, not directly into the phone. So I can plop my phone down on the mount with one hand, and pick it up with one hand, and take advantage of the charging capability of the mount.

Best car mount ever

This company is great. They sent my mount but it was stolen and they sent me a new one without charge. Awesome service. The thing works perfectly, charges my phone, keeps it in place, looks sleek and modern. I love it.

Nice but not perfect.

I was really thinking that this magnetic charging car mount would be perfect for the price and knowing Peak Design quality standards. Unfortunately it is not.
The charging cord is usb-c to usb-c and a cigarette lighter plug to usb-c adapter is included. Most vehicles now have standard usb plugs. I do not have a cig lighter plug in my truck anymore so I’d have to buy a new cord or take one from another device.
It has an adhesive base that attaches semi permanently. Quality Velcro might be better or some other means of removable base so it wasn’t always stuck to your dash say parked long term.
The arm on the base is too short for even a mid sized smart phone if you can’t have it hang off the edge of your dash by design. This creates a number of problems but it is vehicle specific. First, the angle of the phone has to be too flat on my dash to see the screen well reflecting light from the windshield since I can’t hang it off the edge. Otherwise my phone cannot be mounted in the magnetic center and the cord hits unless it’s turned sideways which doesn’t really work either. This is all about the shortness of the arm and the more 90 degree angles of a truck dash (Silverado) as opposed to a sloping car dash angle.
I do really appreciate all of PD policies, packaging without plastic, and refined aluminum construction.
I think I will return this unfortunately and continue to search for the holy grail car mount for me.

The best car mount!

This is one is the easiest to attach and to use! I am using for 3 months and still happy as at the first day. I have iPhone with "everyday iPhone with loop case" and another iPhone with "universal adapter". Both iPhones remain attached even when I drive on bumpy mountain roads. Using with this car mount "everyday iPhone case" and "universal adapter" allows to easily rotate phone to landscape orientation. The important part, is to put and remove from car mount, and it takes literally just 1 second! And even iPhone greatly attached to car mount , it is removed from it, just with simple light "pull". After 20 years using all possible car mounts, I culd not even say how happy i am with this simplisity, beautifully design, and doing great job holder.

Low profile

The car mount and charger is a very low profile and nicely designed item. In general phone car mounts are a great way to keep your phone in a central visible location while driving but this one takes the cake in design and functionality. There are some little clips for the wire to be safely stowed out of the way too, which is a very nice touch. Well done!
