Compact solution, strong hold, but charger failed

This is one of the best solution for a mount that will charge using mag-safe, the hold is very strong compared to other chargers and works great with the original apple magsafe case or the PD slim case. The arm could be a little longer, I can see this as being an issue with some cars. One issue however is the 12V DC charger quality seems to be very cheap, and has already failed, it's charging only intermittently. I had to replace the charger and I will try to submit a warranty claim for it. PD should consider the quality of the charger as well in this design.

What a grip!

Purchased this car mount to go with my Peak phone case. Great build quality. Stupid-strong magnet wouldn't drop the phone when going over the worst pot holes Houston has to offer. The USB-C and fast charging are a huge step up from the 2W USB outlets normally offered.

Have been using it for a couple weeks now and it’s definitely amazing. The magnet is so strong, and like everything Peak Design does, it has a simplistic ingenious design.

Too Minimalist?

The car mount seems to be very well made and I appreciate it's minimalist design, however the limited reach of the arm, from the base can make mounting a challenge. Obviously this will vary from car to car, but I was unable to find a location that didn't require the phone to be tilted away from me more than I would prefer. Makin the arm from the base just slightly longer would probably give much more flexibility in many cases.

sturdy and stable

I love this car mount; I have it attached to the dash of my Ford CMax and it is very sturdy and stable. There is no play or wiggle, which makes other mounts feel less secure. I love the one-hand operation, which is possible because the power cable plugs into the mount, not directly into the phone. So I can plop my phone down on the mount with one hand, and pick it up with one hand, and take advantage of the charging capability of the mount.
