A vent-mount phone holder that doesnt fall off

I bought two of these, one for each car, after previous vent-mount AND adhesive mount phone holders had all failed to remain attached. The two point mounting system with a unique hook clamp means that the PD vent mount will not fall off. The adjustment arm allows positioning of the phone in a wide range of positions relative to the vent. The only complaint is that the adjustment arm will slip if not adequately tightened, and the knob has a smooth surface that makes it dependent on your grip strength to get it properly tightened and even then in some positions gravity and road vibration will occasionally work it lose, requiring a readjustment and tightening. This is still the best phone mount I have had and I recommend it for any car with compatible vents.

Stable Mount, messy wires

The Mount is very stable and easy to use with the peak design phone case. The wire clips I received with this were not great and either let go of the wire, didn’t stick to the car for long, or separated from the adhesive part leaving the charging wire free to hang. If they could nail the wire clamp/cable management this would be perfect.

Great mount, but be mindful!

Great vent phone mount! Be mindful no one else messes with it and extends it beyond the recommended length. This makes the mount not stay in place as often and it can come off.

Nice adjustable charger mount

I have been using it for a few weeks and I'm pretty happy with it. Well thought out, as with most PD products. It does restrict the vent direction, but I like the adjustment of the arm and it attaches securely without much concern of damaging the vent louvers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

J'ai acheté cette fixation pour avoir mon téléphone facilement visible, et installé solidement dans mon véhicule.
Le systeme se fixe facilement et de manière fiable à l'aérateur central de ma BMW Série 3.
Mon Iphone Pro Max tient bien en place.
Bref, du tout bon.
La qualité de construction est au top (ce qui change des chinoiseries qu'on trouve généralement pour ce type d'article).

Limited reach and difficult to tighten

There is no doubt that the material and workmanship is good. There is a couple of design issues that need to be addressed.
First, the extending hook piece, is cleverly designed to reach back to the vent fin. However, for my Tesla X, it just barely reach and get the hook to come over the fin.
Second, the tightening rings are all smooth metal so it is hard to really tighten them down using skin/metal friction. The rings should be roughen or ribbed so that the finger can apply more pressure. Especially for the arm that reach sideway, there is a lot of downward pressure due to the weight of the phone.
Lastly, on this car, there is very little space for the hook to hang onto. Once mounted, the phone still block the airflow. I know this is a design incompatibility between the car's vent and this type of vent mount. I just hope that the smart mechanical engineers can develop a solution for this car.
And finally, it is not a problem yet, but the phone really just hang on with magnetic force and it feels weak (when I take it off). It has not fallen off once, but I really am not sure if it will hold with a sudden brake (or in a collision or accident).
