Great but flawed

Overall, I really like this mount. The articulation is excellent and gives me exactly the positioning I wanted. The magnet plate is also highly adjustable, so it’s easy to find a good viewing angle.
A few things could be improved. I’d like the magnet to be stronger, and the tightening mechanism would be easier to use with a textured grip or some etching on the metal.
My biggest issue is the vent-gripping tongue. It’s easy to overextend while installing the mount, and because you can’t clearly see how far it has extended, it’s easy to miss the warning signs. I followed the instructions, but the plastic stop that prevents overextension broke off during installation. I was still able to mount the vent tab securely, but it was loose while I was doing so, and the stop is now essentially broken.
The vent-gripping tongue, including its stop, should be made of metal. That would make this a better overall product and help it last longer. The tongue could also be about a millimeter longer. I was just short of the fit I needed, though I did manage to secure it.
The mount has great adjustability and works well once installed, but the fragile plastic stop is a serious flaw.

The magnet snaps and holds the phone securely without fear of it dropping off and you can turn to any angle as needed. Really like this simple little gadget.

Best mount ever but, not quite 5 stars!

Best Mount I have ever purchased. Quick install if you know how install it. You must clearly and slowly read the instructions. No tools required for install. The pictures on the manual need to be changed becase it took me way to long to figure out how to extend the vent hook. Very happy with my purchase after 3 days of use.

My go-to mount

Bought this just over a month ago and have been enjoying the flexibility and versatility of being able to have my device mounted near eye sight for quick navigation. Works great with my Peak Design Mobile Case and provides a stable connection while taking on bumpy and unexpecting country roads

I needed a mount preferably magnetic for my iPhone 11 and this one let me down. The magnetic power is weak, even while using Peak Design's phone case for my iPhone. The mount doesn't really stay secure on my car's air vent either, as if the phone is too heavy and tips forward. Pretty much to have it work is to not drive over any bumps or touch it in any way. I drive a 2020 Honda CRV and this mount just hasn't been useful.
The material of the mount feels quality, but other than that I'm not thrilled and using it has been more stressful than not having a mount at all.

I am becoming a fan of Peak Design. They make well designed products; it works with different product units. It is a well developed ecosystem for your mobile devices. From my commuting on my bicycle to car it is just seamless.
