Cool Freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had an old … really old chest freezer and decided to replace it by choice instead of necessity. I have had favorable experiences with Frigidaire in the past which made selecting a replacement fairly easy. There are only two of us and this 13cft Frigidaire is the perfect size. It does what it is supposed to do. We really enjoy not having to dig through the chest freezer to look for food

May it have at least half of it's prior freezers life (32 years)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 32 year old garage freezer died and a search for a replacement that would fit in the same spot turned up only this model. It is much taller than our prior freezer but has less capacity, the frost-free feature takes up a lot of room. The old freezer had a capacity of 13.3 cf. This one is an even 13 cf.
Pros: We love the interior light, so useful in a garage. We also love the green status light that shines on the floor in front of it to signal that all is good.
Cons: It is not very deep, so large items that easily fit in the old freezer will be a challenge to store in this model. Also, with only a one year warranty, we anticipate that its life will be much shorter than its predecessor.

I realize that this is the introductory model but would have desired front wheels or casters and the ability to add another storage basket. The design of the shelf supports speak disaster if overloaded. Because of limited space had to use this model.

We love the new upright freezer! It was easy to get in the house downstairs and we switched the hinge so it would open on the right side. I love the room and the light in it! It also has a green light that shines on the bottom to let you know there is still power going to it. I also love that it has no handles sticking out, just a nice smooth surface. Great job Frigidaire on the perfect size and price upright freezer!! Love it!
