BUYER BEWARE - Non-Functional after Only 2 Years

My husband and I bought this freezer 2 years ago and it worked fine until recently when we started to get high temperature alerts (basically was the temperature of a fridge). We had an appliance repair technician take a look and the compressor starter was bad and turns out this model doesn't let you replace only that part - only the whole compressor. The cost to fix was $1200+, more than the freezer cost. BUYER BEWARE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new upright Frigidaire freezer is exactly what we needed. It's 13 cu ft size holds our quarter of a cow and some chicken breast's we purchased from a local farm with a little little room to spare. It has sturdy wire shelves, good lighting and a simple thermostat. A green light shines on the floor below the door to indicate everything is working fine. So far everything works well and it looks great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally decided it was time to get a small freezer to be able to store items that I could buy in bulk. At 1st I looked at smaller freezer but decided on one a little larger because it came in stainless steel. It is perfect and looks good in my garage next to other cabinets I have. It was plugged in and good to go. No special requirements needed. I have not noticed any kind of impact on my electric bill having a new appliance in the house. I am very pleased having it and am doing my best to fill it.
