Stopped working 2 days after purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this freezer. Worked a total of 2 days then wouldn't cool. Called the store to see if I could return it and was told since I didn't purchase the "extra" extended warranty I would have to have it repaired. So, of course the initial repair was scheduled, and then parts were ordered. Parts shipped quickly, however, when I called to see if I could move up my repair appt I sat on eternal hold for over 24 min and gave up. I even tried asking for a replacement as after all this was just purchased. The response...we understand your frustration, but...we always try to repair the product at least 2 to 3 times before replacing. Meanwhile, 3 weeks later I sit with a nonfunctioning appliance in my garage. I have had Frigidaire appliances before, but will never purchase again. Maybe if I win the sweepstakes, I can purchase another brand of freezer and deliver this one to the dump.

keeps icing up

Stopped working after a few months

Purchased this freezer brand new, and it stopped working after a few months.
After freezer stops cooling, the ugly green light that brightly shines continues to work to light up the large puddle of water on your floor from your thawed food.
I will forever be more careful about who and where meaning what part of the world I buy from. This freezer has been a nightmare.

An Absolute Lifesaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main reason that my wife and I originally decided to buy a freezer is that we were getting sick and tired of the freezer attached to the kitchen fridge being too small to fit anything substantial. The words "we can't fit it in the freezer" were commonly heard between the two of us when we were going through a grocery strore.
We had been talking about finally buying one for some time, then recent world events kinda nudged us into the right direction as far as that goes. In the middle of June, we got ours and it is probably the best decision we ever made.
The size is absolutely astounding. I like to joke that I could probabl fit my weight in frozen butter into this thing and I am certain after the first fill up of our favorite things that I probably could.
The second thing, aside from the size, is the idea that it is not only an upright, but it is also frost free. You see, our previous freexer was a five cubic foot freezer that resembled a large suitcase than an actual freezer that proper human beings would use. Seriously, you woild look at this thing and wonder if they were going to deliver the rest of it. That and the having to pull everything out when you wanted to find something to eat was always a pain. As you can see with this one, every thing you pack it with is pretty easy to find.
Third, you never have to manually defrost this freezer. I don't know what kind of wizardry that is employed with to achieve this kind of magic, but especially with the size of the freezer it is certainly appreciated.
Lastly, and probably most important, if the power goes out, there is about two days before anything in the freezer starts getting to the point where you cannot safely eat it and it starts to melt. This is amazing to me, because as a resident of Florida the prospect of the power going out for an extended period of time is something that you do have to worry about. If the power goes out for too long you stand to risk losing all of the food you have in your freezer. I hope this ability is never tested, but it sure is nice to have.
We have been trying to limit our trips to the grocery store for obvious reasons lately, and this amazing freezer is helping us make sure that we are as safe as our food is cold.

Not happy

Not happy. Have had this freezer less than 2 months. Heard a very loud bang. 3 hrs later it started beeping. Checked my food was already thawing

Broken in 5 days
