This model is perfect for a family of two...a larger size would be needed for more folks imo. Placed the unit in our garage; hope it can handle hot summer months. Bottom line, we like the freezer so far and would recommend it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 3 weeks ago as a birthday gift for my wife. She said that she really didn't need it but I wanted it! I thought it was going to be too large but my wife filled it up quite nicely. It was placed in a corner of my basement (in a private house) near a window and out of the way. Both of us are very pleased so far and like the shelf space in the main unit, as well as on the door. The inside is brightly lit. A green light on the outer base indicates the freezer is plugged in and operating. There is a one knob control for simplicity. We both like our freezer very much..so far!

Love the "new" features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my 11+ cu ft Frigidaire which bit the dust after 18 years of trouble-free service. I love that this has an interior light and an exterior light so that you can quickly determine if the unit has lost power. Hoping that the two day keeping cold feature in the event of a power outage is true (but also hoping I never have to test that!). This one has more shelves than my previous one do it is very easy now for me to sort my items and easily see what I have. Plus it has a large basket on the bottom for larger / heavier items.
