Thumbs up for my new Frigidaire freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced my old chest freezer with a new Frigidaire upright. What a pleasure to be able to see and find practically everything inside at a glance. This freezer is so quiet I have to look at the green light power indicator to make sure it's on. Now I don't have to worry if the door has been left ajar - it sounds an alarm to warn me before any harm is done. And it takes up less space than the old chest freezer did. Win-win-win.

Very convenient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 13 cu. ft. Frigidaire freezer to replace a 30+ year 10 cu ft upright that was not frost free. Other than defrosting it, I was fairly happy with the size of my past appliance.
Now this frost free Frigidaire upright has almost the same footprint, yet has more inside storage space. It's slightly taller, and has more but shallower shelves which are easier to use. Besides the great convenience of frost free, it's rather energy efficient compared to other current models.
There is a basket for the bottom shelf space, but it has a rather low front side, so I don't think I can really utilize that space as well as it should be. I may look for a replacement or something eventually.
The bottom shelves on the door are also so shallow/slim that few products fit (like ice cream pints), but I figured out what worked (bagged veggies).
There is also a handy interior light and the door is reversible if needed which was a feature I particularly wanted.
My only real concern with this Frigidaire freezer is that there is no latch or lock for the door. The magnet is sufficient for food storage, but I found I had to be really careful that food didn't fall or lean toward the door because the door would then open slightly. I'll have to add something like one of those child locks to be positive that the door stays closed.
Overall I'm really pleased with this purchase.
