[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this freezer to replace our 30 year old Kenmiore upright freezer and we are very disappointed. We are unable to use the basket at the bottom because the door will not close or seal properly when it sits in the freezer as intended. We have it sitting on its side so the door closes and seals correctly. This leaves a lot of unusable space. The basket only sits in the bottom and it’s not on a track which is part of the issue. Also, the light only sometimes works when the freezer opens.

We certainly understand how disappointing it must be to have trouble using the bottom basket properly and to experience inconsistent lighting when opening the freezer.
We deeply apologize for your recent experience with your appliance product, and we thank you for bringing it to our attention. For the basket concern, we recommend removing the basket and checking that it is properly positioned and not obstructed by any packaging materials or items stored in the freezer. Sometimes shifting the basket slightly so it sits evenly along the bottom surface can help ensure the door closes and seals correctly. It’s also a good idea to confirm that the freezer itself is sitting level, as an uneven surface can sometimes affect how the door closes and seals.
Regarding the interior light, you may want to check that the light switch near the door frame is not being obstructed and is able to move freely when the door opens and closes. If the light continues to work intermittently, it may require further inspection.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, a service technician may need to take a closer look to ensure everything is functioning properly.

Gets cold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a pretty basic freezer that seems to work well. It took a little longer to get cold than I thought, but that is because it appears to be on a timer rather than using a temperature sensor. At the coldest is gets down to about -8*f.
