This device is very difficult to set up. It is not plug and play. The directions seem simple. I mean they are on a little 3"X3" card. But nothing worked. You should plan to be on hold with AT&T for a few hours and be transferred 3-4 times before someone might be able to help. Maybe.
I needed an alternative to public wifi for when I travel from work due to sensitive information, and this does the job plus more. The speed and connection is fantastic. No lag at all, and I love that it can be connected via USB C to my laptop. I sometimes use this connection when I game and I don't experience any desync or high ping either! I highly suggest picking one up if you need it.
A very reliable piece of equipment that you can travel with.

Save yourself money and high blood pressure and stay away from this junk and go wired. Range is terrible, speeds are slow and your lucky if anything stays connected to it. Not enough internet to upload a pic but speed on a good night sitting 10 feet from the hotspot is usually 5-10 mbps download and 0-1.5 mbps upload
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This MiFi is absolutely amazing! I have been waiting so long for the tech to catch up, and it finally has with the v7. Consistent high speeds exceeding the average max I even get on home broadband. Honestly, flipping off home internet now. They finally crossed that threshold where it makes sense without sacrificing performance. Easy set up and seamless integration into my home mesh. Cannot say enough good about this MiFi… just happy it got to this level while I’m still young enough to enjoy it! Highest endorsement and recommendation!
