Wouldn’t reach through a single wall to a different bedroom, had to buy a router separately and hook it up for it to even cover my home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
Response from ATT.comBy AT&T CARE - IsabellaJuly 28, 2026
We appreciate you sharing your experience with the Netgear Nighthawk M7 Pro. It is incredibly disappointing to learn that the signal reach fell short of your expectations and failed to cover your home without additional hardware. While this device is designed to be an ultra-fast mobile hotspot for connectivity on the go, we completely understand how frustrating it is to deal with range issues when trying to use it across different rooms.

We want to make sure you are getting the absolute most out of your AT&T equipment and any connected plans. For the fastest response and direct assistance with your device settings or plan options, please send us a direct message on your favorite social media channel. Our team is fully prepared to look into this with you immediately to find the right solution for your home setup.

Thank you for sharing your experience during your work at home trial. We are sorry to hear that the Netgear Nighthawk M7 Pro service is not meeting your business needs, even when using an Ethernet cable. Reliable connectivity is crucial for remote work, and this is not the performance standard we want you to have.

Please reach out via direct message on our social media pages or through our official AT&T Support website. A specialist will gladly look at your coverage area, troubleshoot your connection, and help you find a suitable solution for your remote office.

Set up is difficult

This device is very difficult to set up. It is not plug and play. The directions seem simple. I mean they are on a little 3"X3" card. But nothing worked. You should plan to be on hold with AT&T for a few hours and be transferred 3-4 times before someone might be able to help. Maybe.

We appreciate you sharing this with us. We understand how frustrating it is when a device that should be simple to set up ends up feeling complicated. Even with clear instructions, it’s disappointing when nothing seems to work the way it should. Spending so much time on hold and being transferred around only adds to that frustration, and that’s not the experience we want for you.

Terrible

Save yourself money and high blood pressure and stay away from this junk and go wired. Range is terrible, speeds are slow and your lucky if anything stays connected to it. Not enough internet to upload a pic but speed on a good night sitting 10 feet from the hotspot is usually 5-10 mbps download and 0-1.5 mbps upload

Hello there!
We’re truly sorry to hear about the trouble you've had with your Nighthawk M7 Pro. It’s frustrating when your connection doesn't meet expectations, especially when you're just 10 feet away.

To help improve your experience, we recommend checking if your device has the latest firmware updates and trying a power cycle of both the hotspot and your connected devices. Speed and range can also be affected by nearby electronic interference or physical obstructions. See how to update your firmware at kb.netgear.com/24217/How-do-I-check-for-new-firmware-and-update-my-Nighthawk-router.

We want to make this right. If you don't see any improvement, please reach out to us at att.com/support/wireless or call 800.331.0500 so we can look into your specific location's signal strength and discuss further solutions.

Fast enough internet, but you'll run out of data quite fast with these. Compatible data plans just aren't worth it. Check email as fast as you can or to look up something while traveling, is all this is really good for. And for that purpose, it rocks! I returned it and got "Internet Air".

Response from ATT.comBy AT&T CARE - AndresApril 7, 2026
Hello there, Jenni, thank you for the honest feedback!
You're definitely right—a hotspot device like this one is great for speed while traveling, but high-performance hardware can definitely go through data quickly.

We are so glad to hear you switched to AT&T Internet Air! It’s designed specifically for people who need that high-speed connection without worrying about data caps.

We’re happy we could find the right fit for your needs and if you ever need help, don't hesitate to contact us. Enjoy your new service!
