This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-8800 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This latest release from Epson both met and exceeded expectations. The XP 8800 handled everything I threw at it with ease. The printer arrived securely packaged and after a brief glance at the quick start documentation, I was up and running in no time. Installing the app to mobile phones and tablets was a breeze, and was fully ready to take advantage of all features. Sturdy, compact design, a space saving footprint while delivering full-featured printer results. The touch panel screen is large and the UI is concise and intuitive. Often times I find myself fighting with a printer to get what I want actually done. Using this unit felt headache-proof, as I moved from task to task. Printing, copying, scanning features worked exactly as I'd hoped and expected. Ink cartridges were color-coded and easy to install. It should be a snap replacing them when the time comes to do so. The printer was not overly loud, which is something I really do appreciate. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with how this unit performed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Epson printer is the real deal if you want to turn your everyday snaps into stunning, professional-quality prints. With its 6-color Claria Photo HD ink system, you can get borderless prints up to 8.5" x 11" that really make your memories pop.
The speed is crazy - this thing can pump out 4" x 6" borderless photos in just 10 seconds! The detail is so on-point, you might start thinking you're a photography pro (don't worry, I won't tell anyone). The 4.3" color touchscreen is a total game changer too - navigating the settings is as easy as scrolling on your phone, thanks to the Easy Mode.
You also get separate trays for plain and photo paper, plus a rear feed for specialty stuff, so you can switch between homework and family pics without any hassle. And the wireless features are killer - print straight from your laptop, phone, or tablet using Wi-Fi Direct, no router required.
The scanner is high-res and delivers awesome clarity when you need to scan or copy. Plus, the Epson apps let you control the printer from your smart device and even create custom cards and stationery. There's even red-eye removal and photo restoration tools to turn your "oops" moments into keepsakes.
Long story short, this Epson printer is a total winner if you want to take your photo printing game to the next level. It's got the quality, speed, and creative tools to make your memories shine, all from the comfort of home. So what are you waiting for? Start printing!

Excellent Photo Printer

This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-8800 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
Unboxing was very easy. The printed instructions clearly stated where all protective materials were located.
Setup went very smoothly. The printed instruction gave the choice of setting up the printer using a mobile device using the Epson Smart Panel app or using your computer. The recommended method is using the Epson Smart Panel app and that’s what I chose. Each step of the setup was clearly described in the app from initializing the printer to installing the ink cartridges. Connecting to my home WiFi network also went very smoothly.
The printer has two paper trays so that different paper types and sizes can be used without removing a previously used type. I installed plain 8”x10” paper in the main tray, and 4”x6” glossy photo paper in the second tray. I first printed several text pages in both black only and ones that included color. Using plain paper and selecting the main tray, the pages came out clear and colors perfectly aligned. The text quality was excellent. I printed several 4”x6” glossy photos and was very pleased with the outcome. The printer uses six color ink cartridges, so the color reproduction is excellent. I then replaced the plain paper with 8”x10” glossy photo paper, and had the same results as with the smaller size.
I next used my iPhone and the Epson Smart Panel app to scan several documents. The documents scanned quickly and were saved to my iCloud account in a folder “Epson Smart Panel” that the app created. I was easily able to access the scanned documents from my both my iPhone and my MacBook Air.
After using the Epson Expression Photo XP-8800 printer for several day, I have found that it is easy to use and produced excellent results. I’m looking forward to printing many high quality photos over the next several days.

Quick, quiet and impressive!

This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-8800 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. First let me begin by saying that this is one of the quietest printers that I’ve used,..ever. My previous printer was an Epson ET-2400 and while I love the Ecotank, it was a noisy little bugger. It was also slower to print than I found the XP-8800 to be. Here’s the soup to nuts of my experience of this printer out of the box. It claims relatively small counter real estate and seemed rather compact for a photo printer when I first opened it, but as I discovered later, it hides a few little secrets; mainly it’s paper trays as well as its “catch” tray (which I will get to that coolness in a moment). There are two paper trays, one for the standard paper size of 8.5x11 and the other for 4x6 photo sizes, with a separate little section at the back of the printer for special things like envelopes etc. The two main paper trays are hidden at the front of the printer and can be loaded with all kinds of photo paper from standard to high gloss depending on what type of photo you want to print. Now what I just loved was the fact that the catch tray for the paper was hidden. Not gonna lie, I was looking for it and trying to figure out where the paper was supposed to come out. So imagine my surprise when I printed a test page out and the catch tray suddenly made its way out of the front of the printer ready to perform. Call me easily entertained, but I just thought that was really cool. When my page finished printing, I just tap the button on the very ample touch screen to tell the tray to go back home and away it went, back into the printer and out of the way. No more forgetting about it sticking out and accidentally hitting it or having a cat jump on it (yes, that happened with my last printer) because it ends up neatly tucked away in its little space. Back to the touchscreen; it is large and in charge. Easy to navigate and understand and quite bright (sorry for the glare in the photos but it’s pretty bright). Navigating from the app is very easy as well and since I tend to use my phone a great deal to print out recipes, and any of the many photos of my pugs, having the ease to print from my phone from either the app or the share button is a huge plus. This also prints quite fast and not just documents, but photos are printed quickly as well without sacrificing quality. I was floored at how much the printer stayed quiet even printing photos since many times a printer may be quieter during documents and then sound like a junkyard band printing photos. I was a little taken aback by the need for 6 cartridges as this is the first time that I have seen that in a printer but the image quality was fantastic so I reserve judgment, especially given that despite needing 6 cartridges, it’s still less to refill those than my other photo printer (not an Epson) and by less I mean by at least a hundred dollars. That’s a huge savings for me and is enough for me to say goodbye to my old photo printer for good. Overall, I fell in love with this printer relatively quickly after only a few days of seeing how well it prints, seeing its little hidden features and especially after finding out how quiet it was. It’s a great investment if you print photos and if you’re like me and print on the fly a lot. This printer is small enough and if I’m being honest, good looking enough, that it can be just about anywhere and mine is taking up permanent residence in my dining room so I can get my recipes and my pug photos whenever I want them without having to go down the hall to my office. I give this one a top shelf rating and am glad to add it to my electronics family.

The printer was easy to setup and it's smaller than the canon pixma. The printer is so amazing with tons of features like scan to cloud and print from phone and able to print photos in crystal clear setting. The printer has a a UI system that makes it easy to find what you need to find and also setting up email to print via email is amazing saves a lot of time of having to turn the printer on just to print.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great photo printer for the price

This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-8800 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
The Epson Expression Photo XP-8800 Wireless Printer is an impressive device that combines functionality with ease of use. Setting up the printer was straightforward, thanks to the clear instructions provided in the box. Within minutes, I had it connected to my Wi-Fi network and was printing directly from my laptop and smartphone. The compact size of the printer makes it a great option for home offices or small spaces without compromising on performance.
One of the standout features is its photo printing capability. The colors are vibrant, and the detail is exceptional, rivaling prints you’d get from a professional lab. I tested it with several high-resolution images, and the results were consistent across all prints. The dual paper trays also make switching between photo paper and regular paper seamless, saving time and effort. Another highlight is the intuitive touchscreen interface, which simplifies navigation through settings and tasks.
The printer's versatility extends to scanning and copying, which were equally impressive. The footprint of this product is relatively small, saving space. If I could add one thing, it would be a scanner feeder, but I understand that it is generally included in larger more expensive printers. Overall, I highly recommend the Epson XP-8800 for anyone needing a high-quality all-in-one printer, especially if photo printing is a priority.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great printer for my home

This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo XP-8800 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The Epson Expression Photo XP-8800 is a compact all-in-one printer that works well for both home and my basic office use. It has been great for printing high-quality photos, and the photos had vibrant and detailed colors. The printer has a 4.3-inch touchscreen that’s easy to use, making it simple to adjust settings and choose your print options quickly. When it comes to printing, the XP-8800 performed well. It can printed a borderless 4x6 photo in about 20 seconds, and its high resolution ensured sharp and clear images. It also printed documents with ease, providing fast and crisp text. With multiple wireless options like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and mobile printing, I was able to easily print from my phone and laptop. The XP-8800 also works well for scanning and copying. It has a flatbed scanner and it captured the fine details when I scanned photos and documents. However, the printer did seem to use ink can quickly, but I did print a lot of photos. The paper tray feels a bit flimsy, and it doesn’t hold a lot of paper which I don’t mind filling since the print quality is excellent. The Epson Expression Photo XP-8800 is a great choice for anyone looking for a printer that delivers excellent photo prints and works well for basic printing, scanning, and copying tasks.
