We are so pleased with the slate finish! The overall fridge is great but the slate finish is the shining start in our kitchen!

We bought the GE Slate color refrigerator, microwave, stove and dishwasher for our remodel project. The look is certainly unique and really fits well into our overall scheme. This refrigerator is HUGE. With the icemaker in the door it clears up a lot of room in the freezer.

Great fridge it has lots of room, the shelves move and slide for larger items. The freezer is large and the ease of keeping outside clean is fantastic.

Love the color and surface. The meat drawer inside will not stay shut unless you tip the refrigerator back. Had two different repair persons look at and this was the manufactures suggestion. This drawer is also suppose to be able to change temp. kind of hard to do if the drawer does not stay shut. Even after tipping back used a thermometer to test temp change doesn't have seal around so can't change the temp in drawer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Bottom Freeezer

Love the way it looks and the bottom freezer. It's roomy and so far runs well. Not in love with the way the ice dispenser works. But overall it is a really nice purchase.

Personally, I love the slate color, no fingerprint

Just bought this model and love the slate finish. I hear that many people like the stainless steel better, but I did not want to have spray down the steel several times a day. The fingerprints are far less noticeable on the slate finish. I also love the amount of space inside this French door model, I have a leg of lamb in my freezer and it still has so much space in it for other meats, I have fruits and veggies stored in one of the freezer drawers, and other compartments have other frozen goods in them. I also love that I am supporting an American product that has been assembled in the USA. Keep bringing the jobs back to our country.

We installed this frig over 1.5 years ago after after a house fire. We were going to remodel the kitchen anyway so I had my eye on French door models with ice & water on the door. The second ice maker is a nice touch. The finish is great, I was able to get the matching dishwasher & stove.
