Three years top REFRIGERATOR BREAKS

I bought this about three years ago and my top REFRIGERATOR broke and will no keep cold. Freezer is currently fine but it is out of warrantee and is no longer being made? NOT HAPPY CAMPER

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought I had found the perfect alternative to stainless and looked forward to getting this product. However, after three tries, cancelled the order. Loved the design and features, but the finish needs to be perfected. All three models came with damage to the surface of the refrigerator. Why can't this issue be addressed. Would love to talk with someone about this!!

I love the digital readouts telling me the refrigerator/freezer temps and the iice/water dispenser are very convenient and work much better than my old refrigerator.

The ability to have both ice makers on or off is another great feature. Plenty of room with gallon door bins! Definately reccomend this refrigerator for large families and small alike!

packaging the slate frig

Bought the slate frig, microwave, range and dishwasher because we liked the new color. They look good and work ok, considering they are the cheaper models. Most are quiet, except the frig is rather noisy when operating. Biggest complaint is with the frig delivery. It comes wrapped in a sticky film that the buyer needs to remove. It is under the insulating rubber molding and under the handles. It is recommended using tweezer, razor, and needle nose pliers to try to get the film off. Also need to buy a goo remover to clean off the stickum still on the surface. I am amazed and disappointed that GE would allow this kind of problem.

Every 3 weeks you have to break the ice out of the bottom. You'll know its time when you get a big puddle of water on the floor. Started 1 month after the warranty was over. Extremely disappointing.
