Color is great, quality is poor.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THIS FRIG!!
There are two major problems we have seen.
First, it is noisy as all get out. Fan noise and other noise. The GE service man came and installed a noise reduction kit but it did no good.
Second, we have had the frig for six weeks and already GE has had to come to the house to fix the broken lower ice maker. First they replaced the ice maker, second they replaced the computer board.
Junky quality, loud and noisy. More noise when running than the 15 year old GE Profile frig we gave to Habitat.

Noisy! Low quality construction; does not get cold

1. Other reviewers are spot on about how noisy this thing is. It sounds like the low rumble of a bathroom fan on all the time.
2. First fridge arrived with a freezer door that was misaligned and would not close, returned immediately
3. Second unit arrived a month later and WILL NOT COOL TO SET TEMPERATURE. The controls are on the outside above the water dispenser - easy enough. Set the fridge to 34* and freezer to -6*. Fridge will not cool to anything colder than 46*. I don't get it.
The slate finish certainly looks great (but DOES show finger prints, though not as bad as stainless) but the product itself is poorly built.
Overall this matches my disappointment with the other GE appliances purchased for our new home. Real shame.

Hurry and buy thid fridge

I purchased all four pieces(fridge,stove, dish washer, micro
wave) and love the way the kitchen now looks. This
product is so sleek and sophisticated, why follow everyone
else over to stainless, be a leader and try this color.

Beautiful slate finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the whole set for our kitchen (microwave, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator). We have been happy with the care and the look. The slate color brings out the brown of our granite countertops. Looks much more high end than stainless. Our favorite of the appliances is the refrigerator. It has so much room inside; we like the LED lighting inside, very bright. The refrigerator is of great quality; multiple features and large capacity compared to our old GE product. One of our favorite features is the French doors and bottom freezer.

Love the new Slate Color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced all of our kitchen appliances with the new GE appliances. We love the new slate color. They make a nice appearance & do not show finger prints. We constantly receive comments on how nice they look. The refrigerator has a lot of room & we love that it has two ice makers. The convection oven cooks everything evenly. The diswasher is so quiet we never hear it running. We are very pleased with our selection of GE appliances.

I love my new refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just got our new slate refrigerator- it is beautiful. I appreciate the extra ice cube storae in the freezer. Tha adjustable shelves allow us to store all our groceries conveniently. I look forward to enjoying this appliance for many years.
