Flawed or defective - brew feature lost its mind

6 months in the brew function went bazonka. Either stopped midway through a brew or stopped then randomly started. I cleaned the machine regularly which was CS's suggestion, but re-cleaning it did nothing to help. I was handled awkwardly by CS but eventually received a replacement. We will see how well that works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent coffee maker but still needs work

This is my third comparable Cuisinart coffeemaker. It does the job and I like the controls. What I don’t like is how LOUD it is while brewing, and how opening the lid after brewing, to remove and clean the filter basket, sends water cascading down the back of the machine, straight onto the power cord. I cannot believe Cuisinart still has not corrected this design flaw after all these years.

This product is not like previous Cuisinart coffee makers we have had in the past. The top does not flip up allowing you to easily fill without removing it. The coffee is not the same, it has a bitter taste (the coffee we use is the same as we have used previously). The top of the unit drips water when you open it, which results in constant clean up. We have been unable to determine how the auto shut off works, even after reading directions. We were able to set it to the number of hours we wanted, but now do not know how to turn it on. Overall Mr. Coffee would probably be a better investment.

After my last carafe of more than 5 years unexpectedly broke, I bought this one. No issues. Glad I was able to buy the carafe and not a whole new coffee pot.

Easy to operate. Just push a button to start. Previous model one had to dial and get the right setting. I hope it lasts as long as my other Cuisinart . That had to be replaced because I broke the carafe. One thing I notice is that the water never seems to completely drain after washing it.
