A wonderful coffee maker! We just replaced our first one that lasted over 10 years of teenager angst. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to brew a great cup of coffee!

Always outstanding quality and function. Great improvements in the flow pattern and the control panel. Always makes a fantastic cup of coffee day after day. Don't know what I'd do without it.

I just received a new dcc-1120 coffeemaker as a replacement for a similar unit that malfunctioned 22 months into the 36 month warranty. After contacting Cuisinart about the problem (heating element failure), the service rep lead me through a few tests before agreeing to ship me the new unit. Every once in a while, a defect occurs. That's life. How a company responds when that happens is what makes or breaks a company in my mind. Kudos to Cuisinart for backing its products. I love my new coffeemaker, by the way.

We bought this to replace a one and a half year old Cuisinart coffee maker that developed a nasty drip in the carafe when trying to refill the reservoir. This one developed that same drip all over the counter after two days. The auto shutoff feature that is supposed to allow you to remove the carafe during brewing doesn’t work well and allows the coffee to keep dripping. The plastic filter holder doesn’t fit snuggly and tries to float to the top when water is added to the reservoir. I also had to put several layers of scotch tape over the blue display because it is blinding. This really isn’t a very good coffee maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our original Cuisinart coffeemaker broke and we, naturally, wanted to buy the same one to replace it. The new one can get very noisy as it brews. Also, you have to wait about a minute after you hear the beeps that tell you the coffee is ready. If you pull the carafe out before then, a tiny bit of coffee from the filter might drip onto the hot plate. These things don't really bother us because it DOES make a good cup of coffee.
