Our original Cuisinart coffeemaker broke and we, naturally, wanted to buy the same one to replace it. The new one can get very noisy as it brews. Also, you have to wait about a minute after you hear the beeps that tell you the coffee is ready. If you pull the carafe out before then, a tiny bit of coffee from the filter might drip onto the hot plate. These things don't really bother us because it DOES make a good cup of coffee.

Difficult to pour the last bit of water due to how the top is configured. Also the carafe top is designed in a way that guarantees it will wear out early

Overall, works well, although I have two things I don't like. The carafe consists of a cylindrically-shaped glass form without a spout. Instead, it has a plastic insert with a spout. Unfortunately, this plastic insert prevents the last bit of coffee to be poured out. The second dislike are the five piercing beeps when the coffee is ready. That is somewhat overkill and I wish there was an option to turn it off.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really like the features of this coffeemaker, especially the hot brew temperature, the programmable hot plate (up to 4-hours), and the 1-4 cup brew setting. But for two problems, I would have rated the coffeemaker with 5 stars. Problem #1 is that when the lid is opened to fill the reservoir, water remaining in the lid runs out and down onto the counter. Problem #2 is that the coffee pot has a plastic ring around the top that collects water when the pot is inverted in the dishwasher. When the pot is removed from the dishwasher and turned right-side up, water (sometimes soapy!) runs out of the ring and down both the inner and outer sides of the pot requiring additional clean-up.
