Why is there a one-inch hole in the center of the upper part? Why is there no cutout at the bottom for the charger cable?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Otterbox iPhone case is really good. The only thing I don’t like is the tab over the charging port. I realize it’s supposed to keep out dust, but it’s a nuisance. I have to pull that tab back really far in order to put the cable to charge the phone. Otherwise, the charging port can become “out of whack”. This actually happened to me on a Samsung phone, where the charging port was on the side.
Fortunately, at that time, my plan allowed me to exchange my phone for a brand new phone at no cost.
I ended up buying a charger where I put my phone on top of it to avoid this issue altogether. Not too thrilled about it. The phone doesn’t charge as quickly. I’d rather charge it with the charging port.

I've had iPhones for years but this is my first time using a screen protector. The packaging was really well-designed, the instructions clear, and both made installation a breeze. I can't even tell that it's on there, it has a really smooth feel. A bit pricey, but if it protects my screen it's worth the investment.

I found the installation directions and found that the screen was too short for the iPhone 16. You could see the screen below and above the glass protector. So every time you looked at it, you would see a blue and purple line at the top & bottom of the screen. You cant adjust it, it’s ruined if you try.
