I've been build lego sets for around 15 years now, and I this was one of my favorite builds of all time. The repeated features didn't feel repetitive while building it, and the ability to separate the tower into segments is amazing for both viewablity/playing, and for transporting it without risk of dropping the while thing. I highly recommend this set if you're a fan of LotR.

This set was a fantastic build experience. Of course, I enjoy Lego Architecture, so many small similar-colored pieces are great for me. This things is an absolute monster, both in size and appearance. I had no idea just how big and detailed it is. The thought and design that went into this is mind-blowing. I am building the entire LOTR collection and so far have this, Rivendell, and The Shire. I hope for other sets of other LOTR locations.

Amazing build, a lot bigger in person. I love all the little mechanics like the door and Sauron's throne. It's crazy how low profile those are so that they don't impede the design or play room. The actual light brick pointing at the eye is a little lack luster but i understand thats the best we can get with the current light brick we have available. I love the new parts included in the set like the orc helmets and the 1x4 trans-orange plates. Overall a really nice looking set and a fun build!

Took me 3 days to build. Exactly what I wanted. Takes up quite a bit of shelf space vertically. Even though it has less pieces than Rivendell it feels bigger. Great value!

This was my first LOTR set and I was skeptical when purchasing based on other reviews. My experience building this was great, I loved seeing it come together and building height with all the neat details inside the castle. I totally recommend this set!
