This was my first big Lego build, and it was a real treat being able to grind on it for hours and hours. I loved all the little details and secrets, and everything fit together really securely apart from a few of the decorations on the buttresses… I wouldn’t say they were worrisome, just delicate. The tower gate clicks closed in a lovely way, the throne room is just awesome, and the dining hall is the icing on the cake. It’s going to look amazing in my living room. The only thing I’d change is adding some storage for the extra helmets in the forge. A great kit, for sure!

I think this was amazing. I am a big Lego and Lord of the Rings fan so this was a must buy! Just make sure you have enough room to display it once you get it!

Rivendell...Barad-dur...???

Got this as a gift for Father's Day after having received Rivendell last Father's day. I enjoyed this build as much as the previous! Read the 1-star reviews and happy to report that I did not have the same issues with the packaging or missing pieces.
Love the details and the introduction of the new mini-figs, as well as the Easter eggs!
So what's next, Lego? Bag-End? Edoras Golden Hall? Count me in!

This set doesn't disappoint! Very cool building techniques, awesome minifigs, and the modular aspect is great for moving this big set. I can't wait to see what LEGO does with Lord of the Rings next!
