This set is a very fun build. The modular construction lets you easily access all of the rooms easily and stage all of the minifigs. There is building damage built into the design that I would have preferred to build out of the design. One wall of the Danger Room is blown out and some of the debris is built into the lawn. Unlike the Avengers Tower or Daily Bugle, it seems this construction is a fixed appearance without the included parts to create a restored appearance.
The Sentinal Figure is fine. I would have preferred a little bit more effort into the appearance but the possibility is strong.
The Minifig collection is solid. I’m surprised at the absence of fan favorites like Beast or Sabertooth.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dream set that falls short

This is a heartbreaker because I really wanted this set to be amazing. If I were to think of a “dream set” from my childhood it would be the X-men Mansion so I was thrilled to get this set day one. Unfortunately, this set falls short of expectations. From the small size of the set to the limited design on the minifigures (no fully detailed figs) I was pretty disappointed. If you’re a die hard X-men fan like I am I would still get the set. But temper your expectations.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Okay, I’m totally unfamiliar with Marvel or X-Men. I bought this to convert to a modular building. The build was straight forward with no frustrating elements. The scale is a little small to fit in with other modular buildings. While it probably won’t help with scale, I will buy another set so I can add a floor. The mini-figs are totally not my thing. They look okay, but what do I know about X-Men? Zilch. Nada. Nothing. So, I’ll give the mini-figs to the kids across the street. If building for modular city purposes, you can totally skip the first two bags.
Anyway, nice set with coherent instructs and every thing fits.

Could have been better

This set in my eyes could have been better. While most of the minifigures are great excluding Charles Xavier and Wolverine and the sentinel build is amazing the mansion needed a third floor and less of a front lawn to make more room for the interior but overall I would recommend this to a Lego x-men fan.
