This set is absolutely peak I loved building it so much. All of the minfigures were so unique and had a perfects place and really accurate designs. I also love how two of the characters you could switch between helmet and hair. I also loved how you had to connect different parts of the mansion and the unique contraptions you could use on the build

As an X-Men fan and a Marvel and Lego fan in general, I was really excited to get my hands on a piece of memorabilia that encompasses all of those combined elements. The build experience was pretty fun and each bag was clearly planned to keep you hooked for the final result. I like that they included a bunch of extra pieces so you can display your figures in motion.
The figures themselves are 50/50 as far as print quality goes, but I'm happy to have all of them in the collection. Gambit takes the cake.
I think a lot of the weak points as a lego build stems from the nature of a building like this. The X-Mansion in the original media is both a tall and wide structure, whereas something like the Daily Bugle is more tall than wide. The result is that while the Daily Bugle and X-Mansion are relatively similar in overall size, the Bugle definitely has a more appealing exterior than the Mansion.
Interior is small yes, but I appreciate the references included and it's clear that a lot of talent came together to design something like this.
TL;DR - I really like this set but can see that it's not for everyone, and that's ok!

I feel like we could have gotten a bit more and the inside was small. But the exterior and the minifigures we got. Chefs kiss. It was fun to build and honestly good for any xmen fan. Hope to see more like it

This set is a very fun build. The modular construction lets you easily access all of the rooms easily and stage all of the minifigs. There is building damage built into the design that I would have preferred to build out of the design. One wall of the Danger Room is blown out and some of the debris is built into the lawn. Unlike the Avengers Tower or Daily Bugle, it seems this construction is a fixed appearance without the included parts to create a restored appearance.
The Sentinal Figure is fine. I would have preferred a little bit more effort into the appearance but the possibility is strong.
The Minifig collection is solid. I’m surprised at the absence of fan favorites like Beast or Sabertooth.

Dream set that falls short

This is a heartbreaker because I really wanted this set to be amazing. If I were to think of a “dream set” from my childhood it would be the X-men Mansion so I was thrilled to get this set day one. Unfortunately, this set falls short of expectations. From the small size of the set to the limited design on the minifigures (no fully detailed figs) I was pretty disappointed. If you’re a die hard X-men fan like I am I would still get the set. But temper your expectations.

Okay, I’m totally unfamiliar with Marvel or X-Men. I bought this to convert to a modular building. The build was straight forward with no frustrating elements. The scale is a little small to fit in with other modular buildings. While it probably won’t help with scale, I will buy another set so I can add a floor. The mini-figs are totally not my thing. They look okay, but what do I know about X-Men? Zilch. Nada. Nothing. So, I’ll give the mini-figs to the kids across the street. If building for modular city purposes, you can totally skip the first two bags.
Anyway, nice set with coherent instructs and every thing fits.

Could have been better

This set in my eyes could have been better. While most of the minifigures are great excluding Charles Xavier and Wolverine and the sentinel build is amazing the mansion needed a third floor and less of a front lawn to make more room for the interior but overall I would recommend this to a Lego x-men fan.
